"Stay for sisters wedding"

Alba at reception was very friendly and helpful. The staff were generally helpful. The hotel is located a short walk from the beach, always clean, and helpful at reception for taxi service. The food for breakfast and dinner was lovely however not much halal options.

"For a 4 star hotel rating there so much more they need to do"

6.0

Having lived in Spain it was always a place where we wanted to stay. Good - Location, amenities, room size with balcony, selection for breakfast. Bad - Lifts not working so many times we had to use the stairs, Gym, though basic the Air conditioning needed attention, VIP area, having to pay an additional €30 per person to use you would think that it would be worth it given the location and that we could have access to the VIP lounge, it appears that the area was unfinished as the flooring in toilets and around the pool hadn’t been grouted, the sun beds were not as comfortable as those in the standard areas. No concierge, VIP lounge was downstairs again not manned unwelcoming and clearly not finished. Beds no the most comfortable as had continuous pains in hips. Fridge in room was not cool enough. Most of the staff appeared not to be welcoming or making you feel welcomed. It is clearly a hotel frequented by the Spanish as it was pretty much geared for them. Having travelled the world staying in many hotels 4 and 5 star I struggle to call this a 4 star hotel given the quality though you cannot discount the amenities and location.

"Nice family holiday"

8.0

A lovely hotel for a family vacation. The service is good and the beach is just a short walk away. However, the cleanliness of the dishes at the buffet could be improved.

"Not worth the money spent"

4.0

Breakfast was good. Food at diner was poor. Drinks were expensive... not even water for free at dinner yet at breakfast there was a choice of water, juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and prosecco. Do not try the pinacolada... it was 10 euros and tasted like it was just pineapple juice (poor quality - concentrate)... a complete waste of money! Many of the sun loungers were broken and there were very few sun umbrellas. Inflatables weren't allowed in the pools.

"Very polished hotel in a great location"

8.0

It’s a very clean hotel in a good location - 2 mins walk from the Beach. There is a bus stop outside where you can go to the old town also the tourist train bus tour. There are 2 supermarkets at the front and back of the hotel . The resort is old school no deckchairs on the beach with lots of Spanish and Italian bars and cafes on the beachfront. It’s very pretty. It is quite pricey as a resort to other resorts we have been too in Majorca and the Spanish Mainland but if is nice. The room was good we had a sea view and our room was cleaned every day. The showers were spotless and decent. It has a nice roomy balcony . It has a TV which is easily linked to you tube and Netflix. Note virtually all the guests are Spanish and that’s who the hotel is catered to we figured from the north of Spain from their sports logos (a very small amount of British/french/german). Bear that in mind as breakfast, lunch and dinner times are very late compared where we have been before. Tip > always aim to go on the first 45 mins for breakfast and dinner as it goes crazy after that like rush hour. It has 3 swimming pools — paddling, kids and kids/adult which is a lot deeper. The kids pool has aqua aerobics every morning which my wife did and enjoyed. The food is good we were half board but switched a couple of days. There is a lot of choice but note it is the same layout pretty much every day - spaghetti, paella, pork etc. Lots of fresh juices for breakfast. It has another open concert area across the road which does musicals every night. But be aware the names are familiar but it’s to a Spanish audience. There is also a small splash park for kids also for hotel guests. The smart lifts were a pain. They simply were not often saying a lift with the letter is coming and not turning up . Also the sensors on them are not sensitive my daughter almost got crushed twice and o was quite a few kids really get crushed . Only thing we did notice more than once was that the staff in the bar area often served Spanish guests before the French/German/British guests who were waiting long before them.

"Mixed"

4.0

I recently stayed at the AR Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe, Spain. The hotel itself is modern and attractive, with clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely pool area. The location is great, and the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a serious illness I contracted during the trip — I was diagnosed with Campylobacter, which made me very unwell. While I can’t say definitively where it came from, I did notice on several occasions that some of the meat and fish served at the hotel restaurant appeared undercooked, which raised concerns about food safety. What made the situation more frustrating was the lack of support from our travel provider, TUI. When we reported the illness and concerns about the food, we received little assistance or follow-up. For such a large and reputable company, I expected better care and responsiveness, especially when dealing with a health issue abroad. It’s disappointing, because the hotel itself has a lot of potential to offer a great holiday experience. I would strongly encourage the management to take a closer look at kitchen hygiene and food preparation practices, and for TUI to reassess how they handle customer issues — particularly those involving health and safety.

"Good"

6.0

The hotel looks nice, but the reception area smells of damp. The food is good for breakfast and lunch, not so good for dinner, usual all inclusive but something for everyone. The real issue is housekeeping, for a 4 star the cleaning is very poor. Beds don't get made, let alone changed. We stayed for 10 nights and the beds have been changed once, and that's because we had to ask 3 times for clean bedding and towels, it took over 3 hours for the reception staff to sort it out. Room wasn't cleaned properly, the shower screen is just as bad as when we arrived. Black hairs around the sink, which were there for days, not ours my partner is bald and I'm blonde. The lifts are terrible, 4 lifts but you have to put your room number in then it tells you what lift to use, can wait up to 10 minutes for the right one, then you get queues as everybody seems to be waiting for the same lift, nightmare!! Wouldn't stay here again, I've stayed in 3 star hotels which provide a better service

"Lovely hotel , pity about the pool experience."

8.0

Lovely Hotel, very clean, obviously just updated to a high standard. All public rooms very attractve and modern. Bedrooms very spacious and of a high standard. Staff work very hard in all areas and are pleasant and curteous.Dinig room immaculate with a good selection of food. Excellent daily activites and evening entertainment but all in Spanish language. Only complaint is the pool area, all sunbeds need replacing as very old, some broken and not removed, umbrellas were tatty and some broken, and not sufficient for the amount of people. The rules around the pool are not enforced by the pool attendants it clearly states no diving and no ball games this was ignored every day and the diving and jumping in , was dangerous at times. On the plus side the pool was closed until 10am so no need for early rising to claim a sun bed. Overall a very good hotel, with the pool the only issue of complaint..

"Okay if you’re Spanish"

6.0

Room spacious and clean. Dangerous door stop on floor in bathroom places just as you step out of the shower. My sister busted her toe on it on day 2. Housekeeping not great. Bedding not changed sufficiently. One time changed the pillow cases and not sheets. Another time cleaners knocked and we asked them to hang in for 5 minutes they went away and never came back had a real job at 5.30pm to get clean towels sent up after ringing 4 times had to go to reception and collect pool towels to shower. Fridge not working at all, replacement brought up very quickly but that didn’t work either Asked again for fridge to work but nothing done about it, lucky we didn’t need it for medication. Poor show for that. The lifts were a nightmare at busy times Entertainment team spoke in Spanish only never relayed anything in English, seemed like the Spanish was invited to engage in activities. English very much excluded. On a good note the hotel reception, restaurant and bar staff all very pleasant. Food was very good although very rarely hot. Plenty to choose from and quality good. Also good value.

"Lovely hotel"

10.0

I have never gone out of my way to leave a review before but I really believe this hotel deserves one. We stayed for 5 nights whilst visiting family and cannot fault this hotel. The rooms are extremely clean, the beds are comfortable and the food quality is great. All the staff were lovely and the cleaners were really nice. The pool area was perfect for our toddler with 2 shallow pools and the larger deep one. We didn’t make it to the splash pad but that also looked great for smaller children. The walk to the beach is only minutes and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Lots of little shops on the beach. We will definitely be back, and hopefully stay a little longer next time!
