I liked the way how staff are friendly and helpful

I have been babysitting Nicaragua many times and I like to choose this hotel because she’s nice area. The food is good and they are very flexible with thaw check in check out.

Hotel Contempo left a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. They told me that my room is unavailable because they are over booked. So, they tried to send me to Holiday inn for their error. I booked this hotel room 6 months in advance and paid for. Also, I had family members staying at the same hotel. We booked 3 rooms in total. I denied there offer because I explain that this wasn’t my fault and they still were pushy on sending me to Holiday Inn that was far away from my event I was attending.

There are some quirky things about Contempo but we love the place.

Beautiful property with very welcoming staff! Food is excellent and even had relaxing piano player during dinner time.

Overall, it was better than expected. Reception was above standard! Staff needs a few more bi-lingual employees. Not a tourist spot yet but getting there. As a non-spanish person, I would stay again due tot the people that served me

Things I liked: it has a restaurant. Free breakfast. Nice bar. Big room. Things I didn’t like: upon checking in I was given a standard room, that reeked of mildew. I was due for a VIP upgrade (if available) so I went to front desk to inquire right away. It was my honeymoon & my view was of a customers car in parking lot. (Room 2) they offered me room 21 with nice view but near the party venues. I didn’t mind. But the room reeked of Ammonia! But that didn’t equate clean. I wasn’t sure when the last time this room was rented out but there’s a dog poop in the shag rug in the entry room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was dimly lit but ok. But the toilet room smelled like an outhouse. Thru do have hot water :) but shower head has about 12 out of 50 holes giving water. Also I awoke to a live scorpion on the tile floor. That was exciting. As we learned they hunt at night & May be seen resting on cool tile in the morning. I couldn’t sleep well after that thinking the nest was in the room. Overall ok stay. The free upgrade made it worth it. And the food is good. I’ll try some place else next time.

Wonderful staff, outstanding, world-class food and great overall value!! Good location and we felt very safe. I would only recommend that the hotel provide a small fridge (at least in the Junior Suite) and extra hangers. There was a $10 charge for the entire 13 day stay for the fridge and one, single hanger for clothes. They were very responsive in providing an assortment of hangers, plastic, wood and wire. Would definitely stay there again!
