Dar Zman Guest House

Dar Zman is exactly what an economy Moroccan riad should be -- a traditional guest house, very affordable, comfortable and above all, friendly. Well located at the Bab El Hammar entrance of the medina (across from the Hotel Madrid if you're arriving by taxi), Dar Zman's rooms are cozy and well decorated -- I had the Safia room, and it was on the small side but just fine. Good heater (a must for wintry Chefchaouen nights), lots of hot water, a small t.v. and great wifi reception. Breakfast upstairs was "Moroccan continental" with savory local goat cheese, Moroccan crepes and stout olive oil for bread dipping. Best of all were the friendly and helpful staff. Worth a return visit!

It took us a little time to find but we misread a street sign. Parking is avail on street. Nice breakfast provided in the morn. It's downhill 2 min from the medina. Very cheap and the staff was nice!!

Atmospheric guest house. Good location. Room a little small but adequate, decoration typical of the area. Would recommend.

Nice and simply breakfast that was served even though we woke up to late. Very nice view from the terrace! Upgraded our room to a bigger one because another room was free. I recommend this hotel!

This hotel was a great find! It is a small very authentic Moroccan hotel with great tilework and very quaint rooms. The rooms were small but very comfortable and pleasant. Location was great with a very short walk to the old city. Breakfast on the upper level with a terrace was very nice. This was one of our favorite places during a week long stay to Morocco.
