Cozy and full of character and charm

Our small double room was very compact with no room for belongings other than small corner on the floor; no hooks for towels or coats; no room for bedside table. The bed was comfortable thank goodness.

Very close to railway station as we arrived in Katoomba by train.

The single lift in the hotel was slow, noisy and needs to be replaced as would get stuck on another floor. The room was average with old fashioned furniture and small bathroom. The bed was too firm. The heating in the room took ages to heat the room noting I was there in winter. The dining room closed one night at 7.30pm unknown to us and on the Sunday night was closed altogether. The dining room also was only open to 8pm other nights which meant you had to leave that room after 8pm. For $200 per night it was not good value at all.

the staff where amazing, quite room and loved all the different chill out spaces within each floor.

It’s such a beautiful old building that keeps all its charm. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.. highly recommend!
