Sawrey House Country Hotel

Booked last minute on the way back home from Scotland.It looked good online and we were very pleased with our one night stay.Friendly check in and dinner that evening was supurb.Highly recommended.

Fantastic service, location and views. The rooms were lovely and updated. Very charming environment.

The location was perfect and the views from the terrace were exceptional and breathtakingly beautiful. The table service at the restaurant could be improved. Felt that the waiter hovered, making one feel a tad uncomfortable. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Warm atmosphere and a lovely location, the breakfast was excellent.

From the minute I arrived to when I left I cant fault this hotel. The staff were lovely,really friendly..my room had wonderful views over the garden & lake..and the food was locally sourced and really fresh.

Lovely area. Lovely views from dining room. Plenty of local walks and close to Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s home.

Nice hotel in a very nice place. Very good food (breakfast and evening meals) with amazing views from the food hall. The only small issue was that the food hall was always very cold (it was very cold couple of days outside) but probably because it has massive winds to enjoy the view.

internet was no good kept stoppping then could not get it at all. noisy hotel at night very thin walls needs insulation could hear conversations of the next door room and guest snored all night next door

Lovely hotel right next door to Beatrix Potters house. Staff were fantastic and friendly and the breakfast was incredible with beautiful views of Esthwaite Water.

Fantastic hotel, home from home, friendly and great bedrooms. The food is delicious. Next door neighbour Beatrix Potter. Beautiful walk around Esthwaite Water. Highly recommended!
