"Stunning location Friendly staff"

10.0

Perfect location in a beautiful rural village with stunning views. Friendly and engaging staff. For us en route to Scotland with the benefit of Beatrice Potter's house maintained by the National Trust in its original condition. Fascinating and well worth the visit.

"Quiet, beautiful, luxurious"

10.0

A beautiful hotel between Windimere and Eskthwaite. I went without a car, which is a bit tricky to figure out how to get there and depart, but it's perfectly possible and doesn't have to be expensive. My room had a view of Eskthwaite water, absolutely lovely. The food was fantastic and it was a nice quiet and beautiful stay. Right next door to Beatrix Potter's house, and great walking trails all around, and also a local bus to get you to Windimere Ferry. For me it was at the higher end of what I can afford but so so worth it, just great.

"Lovely cosy hotel next to Beatrix Potters house"

8.0

Spent a fab three nights here with friends . I had booked a double room but ended up not sharing . I think it was the smallest room and it wouldn’t have suited 2 people yet it was fine for me on my own . It was lovely and clean with a tiny clean shower room . The food was exceptional . Fabulous breakfast and dinner in the eve. My friends I stayed with rang the hotel direct and got a much better price so if possible I would ring direct as I think that’s also why I got the smallest room etc . Their rooms were really super . Delightful friendly staff and amazing rooms . Will def go back !
