"Extremely underwhelming place"

Location is okay, and for big groups (which mostly come here) probably okayish

Rooms and overall place extremely outdated and uncomfortable. Owner kept sitting outside smoking directly next to us, and kept staring at my girlfriend. High price for average buffet, but you have no other choice....

"A wonderful experience"

We really loved our stay at Zuurberg and our day at Addo Elephant park. The hotel is in a perfect position, extremely comfortable, excellent food and plenty of it. The staff were charming and helpful. We would love to come again.

"Just the best place to stay when visiting Addo Elephant NP."

Amazinbg location atop a mountain/hill. Overlooking the low lands. Superfriendly staff. Beautiful place with spa and pool area.

Gravel road for 30 min last bit of the way. Took along time to navigate in the dark.

"Super but difficult access road"

Amazing location on top of a mountain with fabulous views all round. Staff were great and the food was fabulous. We organised a safari through the hotel and it was also fabulous with a personal lunchtime bbq with all the trimmings including beer and wine. Only downside is the 16 km drive up and down a ridiculously rough winding road. Great place but the road would put me off returning.

"Quiet mountain place - a bit far from Addo"

The Lodge is in the middle of the mountains, has a kids playground and a pool. You can safely hike there. The Christmas Dinner was made with a lot of effort.

It’s a bit old style, like a trip back in time. The WiFi is quiet weak and the off road drive to the lodge is quiet long (20 km from Addo main gate)
