Iberostar Waves Punta Cana - All Inclusive

We were unable to get reservations at the restaurants we wanted thought they did not look to be full at any point when walking past them during dinner times. Our toilet broke and it took three phone calls, a trip to the front desk, and a wait time of just over six hours before anyone came to fix it (even though we were told someone was on there way several times. The fire alarm went off on two consecutive mornings. The water and ice machines on the second floor where we stayed were out the entire time we were there. All of the drinks in the fridge were bottles yet you had to purchase a bottle opener to drink them. Much of the staff was friendly in the bars and restaurants, but I found most of the other staff couldn’t care less about our experience at their property. The best part of the trip was the beach and the weather (things the staff had no control over).

Processed food overload. Shocked at lack of fresh options specifically in restaurants that require reservation. Its the same bulk processed food from the buffets. 6/7 meals the food was not served hot and the mix of humanity makes for unsanitary safe serving practices particularly at the buffets. Most service providers are kind, genuine and demonstrate hood customer service. The exceptions leave a bad impression.

The property was beautiful and the service was excellent.

Staff was not helpful and lacked communication skills. Food was the same every day. Restaurants were slightly better than buffet. Beach area was not kept clean though pools were very clean

Furniture in the bedrooms was old but rooms were kept clean and variety of food and restaurants

Not busy. Didn’t like the choice of buffet everyday for dinner

25 min from the airport, good food , a lot of entertainment, friendly staff. Would go again . Beautiful beaches
