Iberostar Waves Punta Cana - All Inclusive

It was good but the phone in my room wasn’t working they fixed it a day before I left, a lot of smokers everywhere but besides that service was great and friendly hotel food was good too had a great time

Did not explore much around the property itself, so cannot truly review however, I did go scuba diving at Bahibe Iberostar and I worked around the area. It's pretty average from what you would hope for but a little step above your average island. Tried to stay on resort(s) and the ocean!

Overall it’s beautiful, most of the staff is friendly and helpful. I wish they would pay better attention to the beach/pool chairs, a lot of them need fixing. They need to pay better attention to the food expiring also, things were sometimes sour tasting or going bad or just too old/recycled.

We weren't offered the upgrade as we requested. Our room smelled of mold, and we did not have the opportunity to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants - it was first come first serve, but the restaurants were nearly empty, and long lines outside. The a la carte restaurants were extremely slow and dinner took more than 2 hours. Felix - amazing at the buffet area - kind and pleasant - the staff is what made our trip enjoyable. Good People work there!

Great hotel

The property is very pretty & the beach is nice. There are 2 big, uncrowded pools. Most of the staff were helpful. But overall I would not recommend this resort. We stayed 4 nights. We did not enjoy the food, which could be a matter of taste. We found the app & website to have conflicting info, with no reliable source of where things were or when they were happening, including hours the restaurants & pool were open. The pool appeared to close between 6 & 7 pm, which is very early for adult guests who would enjoy an evening swim with a drink. We never found any entertainment other than one night of karaoke. The casino was mostly just broken slots. We were without hot water for 2 days with no explanation or eta for repair. Our first full day there consisted of a high pressure sales pitch for what was ostensibly a time share from multiple "concierges". This was approached multiple more times over 3 days. There were vendors set up all over the resort selling trinkets & art that first day. They were aggressive, going so far as to grab my arm on multiple occasions when I (a woman) was walking alone. It was almost impossible to avoid these sellers. I anticipate this kind of sales tactic off resort, but found it extremely off-putting and anxiety inducing to have to constantly say no thank you & walk faster to get away from groups of men who followed and grabbed at me. It was the opposite of a relaxing start to what should have been a peaceful vacation. We will not return.

Love this hotel very much. Stayed there for six times and will book it again for next year vacation.
