Location is amazing, just in a busy area with lots of local shops, boutiques, and restaurants. Also, the staff is very friendly and nice.

There were no instructions on the parking and the hotel didn't respond to the issue in real time. Spent 45 minutes just to find a spot, which was apparently one of the parking areas the hotel usually recommends. This will be easier to receive the instruction in advance since the hotel is located in a restricted driving area.

We had a wonderful week in Riva at Hotel Antico Borgo, this charming small, friendly hidden gem was a real delight. Located in the historic traffic free part of the town we thoroughly enjoyed wondering around the cobbled streets and eating in the many restaurants near by. Our room was clean and although we didnt have a balcony the window over looking the street below was very pretty. Breakfast was good and the staff very attentive and got to know our coffee order very quickly. A special thank you to the staff who helped my husband who had a medical problem, the receptionist very quickly arranged medical help and also provided translation as our Italian is very limited. This hotel may be small but it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The roof terrace is beautiful, looking over all the roof tops and up at the mountains is one of the best things about the hotel.

Great location

It is an old hotel. The sound proof was so bad that make it noisy for all nights. We kept hearing people walking, talking and slam the doors. We even heard people sneezing from the next room. I think the hotel needs to be renovated.

Staff does its best to provide good service and location is good however after a recent stay there I question why this hotel can claim a 4-star rating status. Multiple flights of stairs are required for most rooms and although there are elevators, stairs seem to be required regardless. My room had an old and very hard and lumpy mattress that felt like innersprings were poking up through the mattress. I cannot believe that no other previous guest either noticed it or alerted the staff or that there’s not a quality control person who’s responsible to inspect the bedding periodically to make sure it’s in good condition. keeps Breakfast was nothing special and I sense that hotel caters to groups of older folks on tours, which really makes all the less sense.
