Iberostar Selection Anthelia

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. I’ve been to 4* hotels in the area before but this was my first time at a 5*. It did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, everything was spotless and every member of staff was a credit to Iberostar, all lovely , polite and professional. The pool area is great, (the 2 main pools are really cold, but there is a smaller heated pool), never had any problems getting a sunbed, I think we went on a quieter week. The animation team were all lovely and worked really hard, some really nice things to do each day. I had the basic double room which was nice and we found the hotel lovely and quiet over night. It is a large complex so be prepared for getting your steps in. I wouldn’t hesitate returning there, and there were a lot of visitors that had been there many times

Phierina and her colleagues at the pool bar provided a 6* service in this fabulous 5* hotel. This was out 5th winter vacation and were already booked again for December 2026.

This is not a 5 star hotel! I am extremely surprised that there are so many highly rated reviews for this accommodation. Yes, the waiting staff are great but that’s it. The rooms and hotels condition is extremely tired. The front of house staff are untrained, most are placements that are dropped in without any experience. This place is very overpriced.

Everything about this hotel is of a really high standard. Its location is excellent. The room we have is perfect, watching the sunset with a glass of cava is great. The variety and quality of food is guaranteed to suit all tastes. All the staff are amazing, from reception, to room attendants, dining room and entertainment staff. Jordi, one of the management, has been particularly friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, and everything is done with a smile. We will definitely return in the future.

Super resort, with great location on seafront of ADEJE, but in own private grounds. Staff were very helpful. There is plenty of parking contrary to their website which says there is none. Good restaurants and nightly entertainment(s). Only criticism is that they allow smoking on bedroom balconies which when in adjoining balconies is unpleasant, and in fact smoke could be smelled in hallway outside bedroom doors. "A" block is recommended - close to reception and entertainment.

This hotel is amazing the best we have ever stayed in. The service is first class. All of the staff no matter what department they work in, couldn't be more friendly. Our room was beautiful, over 2 floors, spotless and spacious. The food was fabulous, always something different to choose from every night and day. We will return.

Leaving a review 3 days into our stay is unheard of however feel this is a must because of the service we have received thus far. Hotel rooms are lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. Here to celebrate a 40th birthday and the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure our celebration has been first class. From an ungraded room & small gestures such as cake and cava in our room has made our stay memorable and will ensure our return in the future. Special mention to Johanna at the pool bar who has been welcoming, warm to our 3 year old & ensuring our drinks are brought swiftly and taste amazing. She has been so helpful at answering any questions about the hotel and activities and always has a smile and lovely nature. Staff at kids club have been great with our Daughter who is often shy with strangers, they have been welcoming and engaging bringing her out of her shell and encouraging her to join in and have a great experience also. There is a full itinerary including kids disco, yoga, shows and live music. Something for everyone. 10/10.

Fantastic hotel. The service around the pool was second to none, we were mainly served by Ezequiel who was brilliant and made our day time so enjoyable. The whole place is spotlessly clean and you can see that there is always work being done to keep things as they should be. We had breakfast only and it was 10/10, staff, food, atmosphere was great. The only downside was I think there should be more free water around the pool area. I would highly recommend this hotel to family or couples as there is something for everyone. Location is great and there are great restaurants outside of the hotel within walking distance if you want to go out which we did most nights. Deserves its 5 star rating. We will be back again

An aesthetically pleasant looking hotel, disappointingly let down by its highly defensive management and 3.5/4 star service. To add to the let down, you cannot give constructive feedback without being accused of being the only person who has ever done so. This is despite their specific request FOR FEEDBACK. Toys immediately out of the cot when anything negative is mentioned, and silent treatment 🤣. Beware of little people with fragile egos. But, back to the actual hotel - all that glitters certainly is not gold. Do not be hoodwinked by the “bargain all inclusive offer” on check-in. It’s an absolute scam to get you tied down to not venturing out while enduring basic food, beverages and service. Caveat emptor. You’re better off exploring the island and avoiding the cheap cava (which is policed as if it were dom perignon). The rooms are comfortable, unless they house you in the block called “Aida” and you were hoping for a quiet night’s rest. Get ready for the wedding singer-style noise. As for all-inclusive meals - get ready for “Hunger Games” cruise ship buffets. Acceptable for those who are accustomed to cruise ship levels of service. Not for the faint-hearted, or indeed luxury seekers. Basic, at best. Hugely disappointing otherwise. Oh, nice sea views.
