Hilton Garden Inn Waldorf

The property Hilton Garden Inn is very nice. The staff is pleasant and I enjoyed my stay.

That you have to pay for parking and breakfast.

Location and staff

The location was close to my family's place.

There was a bug in my room. (2) I didn't appreciate having to paid for parking and no continental breakfast. The Hiltons are filthy rich, why in the world you have to pay for parking. (3) The shower was working properly.Usually I investigate the place I'm staying, looking at the reviews. I didn't look at the reviews, my mistake. Normally, I am not a complainer, but I had to write this, so maybe they will make improvements. The wait staff was very nice, that was a plus for me

quiet location

Old furniture. Desk was wobbly. No plugs in lamps for cell phone chargers When you check in the desk clerk should remind you about the parking fee and breakfast amenities. Parking should be free for honor guests The grout in the shower looked dirty.

Everything was wonderful. My room wasn't ready so the front desk upgraded me to a suite.😊

I arrived a bit early and wasn't greeted politely, rather passive aggressively told that check-in was scheduled for later in the day. Which of course I was aware of, I was merely checking to see if the room was prepared early - which has most often been my experience at other hotels. The television device would not work unless one placed the remote control right next to the device. The clerk at the front desk came to help, but told me that there was essentially nothing they could do because the engineer wasn't on site. Which rendered the television essentially useless. The room was not modern, so the in-room controls from the app did not function. The restroom had an odd and extremely unpleasant odor. The shampoo and conditioner was also nearly depleted - I barely had enough for two showers during my stay. Despite claiming that the hotel had a restaurant on-site, this was not the case. This was easily the worst hotel I've stayed at - out of roughly twenty business trips and a dozen or so vacations. The only saving grace was that the overnight clerk at the front desk was very nice and professional, even if his hands were tied when it came to the television.
