Budget Lodge Inn - Abilene

Overwhelming odor of cleaning product on entry to room, carpet and shower curtain disgusting, microwave latch broken, no reliable WiFi! Yuck.

Carpet was dirty. Walls were dirty. sheets had stains but were clean. Bed spreads were not clean. Bathroom was clean though.

We were just passing through for 1 night. You get what you pay for, and the place is old and slightly run down. Everything in the room worked and the couple that owns it are super! The AC and comfortable firmer bed gave a good night's sleep. We found it quiet with good water pressure. Pay more if you want more than adequate.

It wasn't a pleasant stay. The only 2 good things that were good was the bed and pillows. The cons are the room stunk. Asked the clerk about and air freshener. He gave us a aerosol spray. The room was cold. Had not thermostat in the room. The bathtub drain didn't work. Couldn't close the stopper. Stayed open. Had to ask for clean towels next day and I had to pick up the used ones to hand the the person that brought the clean one. The floor was dirty. Gritty feeling like really fine sand. The GFI plug in the bathroom wasn't safety grounded. Sticker on the wall told me this. The tv, Couldn't turn up the volume. It was up all the way and it so low I could here the tv in the next room better the ours. When my wife took a shower with the door closed it was loader then the tv. Our friends got rooms their too and they weren't happy ether.

For the price it was ok they were having issues with cable provider so the tv barely had sound and wasnt really happy with the fact that you could not control the a/c for the room

Bathroom could have used a scrubbing. They were overwhelmed because the power went off due to weather. The staff was great even going thru that. I would go back.

Older motel in need of renovations. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Room was mostly clean. Towels and bedsheets were clean, but stained. Beds were ok. It was just one night, so it was all I needed.

No one at desk, had to call on phone and wait 15 mins. Then he could not find my Hotel.com reservation. Rooms are dirty, way out dated and smelled like an ash tray. Left went down the road to Super 8. I advise you to do the same.

This place was not what the rating reflects. Exterior of building were in very poor condition. Our room was clean or I would hesitate to stay. No coffee or continental anything supposedly covid, which most hotels are now beyond and back to providing these services. Covid is an excuse for poor service. The price was inexpensive so you get what u pay for. Just don't expect much. Handyman was great to try to get TV to work but we ended up with 1 channel. Cute town but I would hesitate to stay here again.

Old and run down motel. Needs updated.
