Silver Spur Motel

The place was dirty and infested with box elder bugs(I smashed 5 of them on the walls). Was not about to take off my shoes, don't think the bed linens had been changed! Then the manager charged my credit card after I'd already paid thru travelocity! Only gave me a partial refund. Avoid this place!!!

The hotel is small but great service and a quiet clean environment.

It was awesome having a fridge and microwave in the room.

Initially I liked this motel, however there were only 3 people staying in the entire place and the owner decided that the best place for a 2am check in was the room right next door. So at 2am we were woken up by high beams directed straight into our window (the curtains tried their best), their check in conversations right outside our window and slamming doors. When I went to the manager the next morning to discuss it he couldn’t care less.

Comfortable no frills motel, great nearby Mexican restaurant

This motel looks a bit old and like a place to avoid. HOWEVER . . .the rooms are just fine. We had a good stay. This is for utility on-the-road stopovers, not a romantic holiday destination. I will stay there again.

We spent one night in a non smoking room double room. However, outside our room was the smoking area. The windows are single pane so the smoke filtered into our room. I am asthmatic so i was very uncomfortable The motel is very old, and unkempt. The shower and bathtub were so filthy, we did not use it. The towels were very thin. There was a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. No ice machine to be found. I will not recommend this hotel.

Online pictures show a pool, which is currently filled in with dirt. The rooms were very dirty, including week old cobwebs, and spiders. The sheets and linens were stained, and smelled bad. The next morning, while packing, we noticed bugs in the bed. They looked like cockraoches, but may have simply box elder bugs. Either way, not cool to have to share your bed with any bugs. The manager was polite to me, but was borderline rude to my wife, until I began talking to him, then he changed his tune. After spending a couple days in Lander, we feel that his prices should be less than half of what they are, relative to any other accomodation. Will never stay here again.

Old facility, sadly in need of a facelift. Shower control sprayed water, tub drained very slowly. Electrical plug was so worn, it wouldn't hold a charge block in place. Bathroom door was falling off the bottom hinge, so door dragged on the carpet. No receipt given at check-in, rate charged was higher than I expected. Really poor Wi-Fi signal. Go just about anywhere but here.

Room 17. Smelt like a dead animal. If it wasnt for the fact I cant get a refund I would have just kept driving the rest of the night instead of wasting my money.
