Silver Spur Motel

It was clean with friendly and helpful staff but the facilities were run down with pealing paint and funky patch job in the shower.

The property was in a good location. The property is very old, very ran down, and not clean. There was mold in the bathroom. The towels were very worn, there is not a hair dryer in the room. The sink is outside of the bathroom, but 1 light switch controls both the light in the bathroom and the light over the sink which is directly across from the bed. I bought cleaning cloths with disinfectant to wash down the areas that I could. I cannot in good conscience say to stay there.

Was surprised by the room. It was a family room, 3 queen beds. The room was actually 2 rooms, 1 of the queen beds was in a conected private room. I was very happy with the set up. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We will come back to the Silver Spur again.

The manager charges fees made up out of thin air. He charged me $60 after telling me he only charged $20 for “extra people”. Do not stay here he is very greedy and the place is very filthy.

Booked this hotel twice in one week, once through Expedia and once through Priceline. Both times the price was $75.xx. Later, noticed he had charged us $98 for each night. Called, and was told that we had incurred cleaning charges (both times) due to spilling something or cooking something smelly. Neither occurred, but his lobby sure reeked of Indian food and the place was a dated dump. Look at other reviews.... this is the modus operandi for this hotel and manager. Lying cheating, stealing. Lander should deport/banish this guy before he gives the whole town a bad name.

We tried to cancel our reservation at this location because it was accidentally booked in wrong town . The manager was completely rude, unsympathetic and not only charged us butOVERCHARGED my credit card (price was quoted $60 online / my card was charged 80$) we ended up having to sleep in the car because of it. I wouldn’t recommend the Silver Spur in Lander Wyo to anyone who doesn’t want to get ripped off.

Heat ran constantly but the room near got warm. Other than that it wasn’t bad for the price.

The parking lot was all covered wooth about 12 inches of snow the only places that were plowed out in the motel parking lot had to car parked it, 98 % off the parking lot look like it had not had the snow plowed all winter. The place looked llike it had been abandoned. My wife took one look at the motel and said i am not staying there. So we choose to forfeit our deposit ( one nights stay) and went down the stree and stayed for two nights. We never even got in the parking lot and decided that wasn't going to be our bed for the night for any price. I am not the type of guy that complains about things but this was pretty bad. I wish i would have taken some pictures.

Service was great but the room is in need of a remodel and deep cleaned, the calking around the tub is very old and the heater does not get very warm.

Definitely run down, but clean, comfortable & inexpensive. Got exactly what I paid for. Was a little worried about what the bad reviews said, but I didn't experience any of that except that it was old & needs a little remodeling or maintenance. Staff was extremely nice.
