Hotel Le Faisan Dore

The location - the staff - the bedroom - the bathroom were excellent but the meals were outstanding and such good value for money. I wish we lived closer. The restaurant was so comfortable the ambiance delightful and I’m not surprised that so many people were dining there. Well done all

The hotelier was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

They were not expecting us and the door was looked. It took us an age to get in and it was pouring with rain. After a days travelling it was disappointing to say the least. We stressed we wanted a hotel with a restaurant but the restaurant was closed on Sunday. We had to drive round looking for somewhere to eat.

The staff were very accommodating. We arrived late but they organised and saved food for us which was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Parking was convenient.

The road noise from around 6 am was the only problem for us during our stay.

We had room 106 very old ,dark and cold,Tv only in french.grab your sleeping bag,the heating did not work .we had a pick on the other rooms in the morning and most of them were clean and bright,so hope you get your 4star from them,but not from us.

Lovely property, it looked like it had been recently refurbished. Great staff and food - the evening meal was a highlight. Convenient location to break our journey.

Rooms were quite hot - air conditioning would have been useful as there was some road noise if opening the window.

I liked the remote but easily accessible location. The garden of the property has a very relaxing feel to it over looking the countryside. All of the staff were very patient and helpful. The food was outstanding, cooked with care and skill using quality produce. The room was clean, tidy, well thought out, and comfortable. Most of all, I like the character and feel of the place, which in a large part is down to the staff. I would highly recommend stopping here.

Being English, I would have liked the restaurant menu to have an English translation. But this is a minor problem as the young man serving us was very helpful and obviously I'm in france so a French only menu should be expected.

Very comfortable beds and evening meal was excellent.

No wardrobe or tea/coffee in room.
