Location, authenticity and charm

We were wowed as soon as the front door opened into this gorgeous boutique Inn with its stunning colonial architecture and elegant interior. The staff were so great and nothing was a bother. Our breakfast was made fresh to order every morning with delicious locally sourced fruit orange juice & Guatemalan coffee. Our room was perfect, cozy & had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Free Parking across the street in a secure lot with a ticket from the hotel staff and within a few blocks from the main square. We were so sad to leave.

It would have been nice to have some snacks available while we drank a bottle of wine in the evening. However in saying that, we never asked for them.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful and quiet. The staff was wonderful and courteous. Breakfast was on point every morning. Any questions we had they were able to answer. We were able to set up our transportation to and from the airport with them, which was convenient. They were also able to set up transportation if you just needed to get around Guatemala. Will definitely be staying here and highly recommend.

Great service, great staff, very comfortable

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were stunning, and at night the fireplaces in the rooms were lit, and the candles in the hallways created a wonderful atmosphere. It's peacefulness and quiet elegance will always stay with me. A really special place.

We had an incredible stay at Posada del Angel and would be delighted to stay there again. The room was lovely and well appointed, the breakfast was exceptionally tasty (try the refried beans, they're amazing!) and we had a truly exceptional level of support from the hotel staff. Our concierges were friendly, incredibly knowledgable, provided great recommendations and went above and beyond to help us - especially after landing at the airport and locate our taxi driver. Truly a hidden gem of a hotel and you will not be disappointed during your stay.

Beautiful hotel, stunning rooftop, kind staff. The turn down service was also a nice touch.

Way too expensive of a hotel for Freezing cold showers! Shower pressure was the worst I had experienced in the country as well. No amenities, no fridge or tea kettle which should come standard when paying over 200 a night. They will hold things in the fridge for you but it was inconvenient. Also the buzz you in every time you return to the hotel, but sometimes it took several minutes which was also a pain when trying to go to your room.
