The Conigre

Lovely quiet little hotel, just a stones throw from the town centre, a true hidden gem.

This is a very comfy little boutique hotel. I spent a night in "Fagin's Den"; a very compact, but extremely clean and cosy little room, which was ideal for one night away for a meet up with friends at a nearby reunion. I enjoyed the shower, and complimentary toiletries , which added a little luxury to my visit. There was a plentiful supply of tea,milk and coffee. Breakfast was wonderful too. Thank you 🌞🌻

Very helpful and friendly staff

Lilly was very friendly when she welcomed my mum and I to our room that was decorated cosily. The booklet provided with information on things to do nearby was helpful - we went to Refa for a tasty dinner and without that recommendation I wouldn't have known. The hotel has a great location (less than five minutes' walking distance from the town square) yet still feels private as the entrance is set back from the main road and covered with trees.

I would have liked more control on the bath tub temperature. Turning the knobs slightly made the water too hot or too cold so if this could be changed, the stay would have been more comfortable.

Property was clean and was well situated for places we wished to visit. The village of Melksham also had brilliant places to eat in walking distance which made the stay even more enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend and wish to stay again.

Excellent location, lovely accommodation, friendly and accommodating staff. Gorgeous period features. The communication from the B&B was excellent, too - they were prompt to reply to any questions or requests. Even provided us a fan to help with the weather. Overall, our stay was v comfortable - definitely recommend!

The shower runs either very hot or cold, mixed temperatures available only via the bath/tap.

It suited my purpose. Good location and comfortable.
