The Conigre

Loved the room we were assigned, and was pleasantly surprised to find a bath (with shower) rather than just a shower. Was helpful to have a smart-TV for the evenings, and the tea/coffee/fridge supplied was very helpful.

Only Netflix available on smart-tv, but not a significant downer as we spent much of our time outside anyway.

The owners and staff couldn't do enough. Lovely people. The lady who cooked the breakfast , sorry, I don't know her name, was great to talk to and really helpful. The history of the buildings was outlined in the information pack and very interesting. Great to have a pack by the way, seems to have gone out of fashion in a lot of places. P2

Well located for a walk in to town

Room was dark and dinghy, no shower and water pressure very low so difficult to use bath

Lighting, lack of sockets, no working shower attachment because of water trickling rather than running

Location

Staircase a little steep in places Lighting was not great in bathroom and Bulb missing in bedroom ,bathroom basin lacked handy area for cosmetics/shaving accessories etc .my wife complained that there was no mirror with lighting or chair for makeup etc .

Andy and his wonderful staff were amazing in a potentially tricky situation as our guest didn't speak English. Our guests were delighted with the accommodation and particularly noted its cleanliness and comfort

There was nothing that could be improved and Andy and his team are a credit to the West Country

We had an enjoyable stay at the Conigre, which had a most interesting history, as explained by our helpful host. The location was great for the town, which had plenty of restaurants/cafes. We had the best scrambled egg at breakfast, and with a choice of cereal, we were very happy.

Although 2 out of 3 of us had very comfortable beds, the sofa bed was not comfortable for someone with bad legs, as one of us had. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay.
