The Old Lodge

Breakfast full English one of the nicest I have ever had, nicely presented and very tasty

Bed was a bit uncomfortable and was not up to current hotel standards.

The hotel is in a rambling stone mansion on the crown of a vast common where cows roam free. The restaurant has the usual UK pub-food menu, the food is quite well prepared, and the cooked breakfasts are good. Dogs are welcome and parking is easy.

The Old Lodge was clean and comfortable, the staff were brilliant, the food was very good.

The only minor criticism, the room would have benefited from longer dressing table, there was only enough space for the tea and coffee facilities.

The staff in the Old Lodge were excellent, the service fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and the setting is stunning

The location and setting were lovely

Mostly the staff. During checkin, breakfast and even checkout they were talking amongst themselves and not taking any interest in us as guests. Our toilet seat and shower head in our room were broken.

Everything worked so well.

It was all fine.
