"Great place for family vacation."

This place was amazing!!! It was a fantastic value. The pools and lazy river were a blast, and the room was beautiful. We did the dolphin tour for the resort, which I highly recommend. My only advice is (1) bring everything you need because they provide next to nothing (e.g., beach towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags), (2) cook in the room because there is only one restaurant on the resort and it is not kid exactly kid friendly, and (3) go the public beach down the road rather than the one across the street. We will definitely be back!!

Very clean and spacious. The only issue we had is when we first arrived, someone was parked on our assigned parking spot, so we parked at the spot next to it. Then we were told that we had to move or we would be towed. I didn’t think that was the proper way to handle that matter. Other than that it’s a very beautiful property next to the beach and we enjoyed our stay here.

I have stayed at 2 other condos at Caribe in previous years and this 2 bedroom compared to others fell short. The couch was so uncomfortable. The sliding glass doors had handprints very low all over, (like from toddlers). The master shower has a broken nozzle on the hand held showerhead that shoots off when you turn the water on. The master bathroom also has plumbing issues with the toilet, we had to plunge it twice and the noise from it running constantly is loud. There were relatively few dishes available to use especially plates. Hot tubs were closed instead of just posting a limit on patrons. We still made the best of a situation since our reservations we were told was nonrefundable during the quarantine.

"DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN"

We booked a trip to Caribe Resort because we have had such great experiences in the past. We rarely leave reviews but we felt compelled to share our experience as we hope it will be helpful and serve as a reminder to parents of young children who choose to stay here. A few minor things we encountered were; - water was scolding hot - the blender was broken - TV's were ancient and not compatible with Fire Stick - master bed was 3-1/2 feet off the ground - no extra safety measures on the main door or sliding doors *WARNING MAJOR PROBLEM* - we went to bed on our second night only to be awoken 2 hours later by the police and the resort security. Our 3 -1/2 year child awoke in the night, disoriented, and opened the front door (which was locked) and proceeded to get LOST. Thankfully a sweet woman found our child and with the help of THE AMAZING SECURITY and dozen other people, he was returned to us safely. After a sleepless night we contacted maintenance and the condo owner in the morning. We explained the situation, offered to purchase and install a safety latch at the top of the front door to prevent a future tragedy. The condo owner's response was, and I quote, "I've never had a situation in 15 years and I don't want screw holes in my front door." Readers, the owner is now AWARE a child could potentially DIE exiting this unit without guardians and he chose not to take action. Quite disturbing. We were appalled. DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT if you have young children.

"$620 for 2 nights in off season to room with bugs "

Unfortunately, we did NOT have a great experience with our suit. The facility seemed to be nice overall, the suit was spacious, the view was good, and the location was great. But... but it was nasty and let go. There were multiple types of bugs crawling around the kitchen and in the sink. The ice maker had tons of bugs dead and alive inside. There was waste from bugs underneath the phone in the kitchen. Stained curtains with even a booger on one. Several of the walls were nasty. The furniture didn’t smell clean. The bedding was NOT fresh. The king bed in the main bedroom was horrendous - it dipped in middle which made for a major lack of sleep. The front desk staff had left at 6:00pm, so there was no onsite person to report anything to. When I received a follow up text about our stay on our second (last) night, I responded with some of the issues (mainly the bugs). I was told it should have been addressed at checkin. How? Spend 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve something that should have never been an issue? We literally only had one day to spend there. After driving down (7 hours) with myself and four children, getting checked in, parked, hauling everything inside, unpacking... the last thing that sounded appealing was a super long series of phone calls and doing the reverse just to move to another room. I hope that the $200+ that I paid in cleaning fees allows the next guest(s) to enjoy their stay because I totally flushed my $$$ apparently.
