Garden Route Game Lodge

We had an incredible stay - pity is was only for 1 evening. When you book, plan to stay for at least 2 - 3 evenings. The food is highly commendable, the beds comfortable and the staff very attentive. Well done GRGL!

Staff was very friendly. The safari ride with Natasha was better than I thought it would be.

A wonderful experience. Very warm and friendly staff and very knowledgeable and passionate about conservation and wildlife. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff were able to accommodate special requirements. We saw every animal we wanted to and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The huts are small but fun.

The chalets were cosy, comfortable clean and private. The safari was well stocked for the size and we got amazing close to rhino, cheetahs and elephants. Tracey was an enthusiastic, fun and knowledgable guide. The food was practically the same each night but there was plenty of choice to try different foods each night. Although the restaurant got busy it was always calm and never hectic. The restaurant staff were sometimes a forgetful regarding drinks or other orders but I think some were knew. On the whole a great personable place to stay and in my husbands words “mind blowing safari trips”!

Beautiful property with great staff and service. Food was top quality and had a large variety that accommodated for my families food allergies. Game reserve and game drives were high quality. Janou was our game guide and he was excellent. As an avid traveler, this is a top notch place to stay.

We loved the location & staff. Our room was not services on second day & it was not very pleasing given that our stay was so expensive.

We saw many animals and great experience. Food was great and accomodation good.

AMAZING!!! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have the ideal game lodge experience! Two game drives per day and sunrise and sunset where you will see tons of African animals on an enormous property. The food is fabulous, the landscape is marvelous, and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful as well. We did not use the spa but we did walk through it and it was nice and luxurious. My wife and I had an amazing time and we will definitely return someday with our children.

We stayed at the sunset ridge family suite which was spacious. Water from taps was very brown and toilet was small and had a funny smell. Bathroom was large but shower floods easily. Suite was nice overall and had a nice view. Game drives were good, see lots of animals, but not quite a full fledged safari in my view. Good for families with young children or first timers. You will see lots of animals at every turn.
