Great fun 'soft safari ' , very well organised. Extremely knowledgeable ranger named Abri. Delightful cheetah & cubs spotted & plenty of photo opportunities.

"Safari near Cape Town"

8.0

A great value safari lodge, not the biggest in the southern cape but we saw 4 of the big 5 and amazing views really up close to the animals. Great value for money. Staff are friendly, the ranger was great and the food is good.

"Exceptional"

Safari, the staff and hotel room were great. Not much to see at the watering hole though so no need to pay the extra.

"Great first time experience of a game drive!"

10.0

Great hotel/game lodge; great guides during the game drives! The guides had a great knowledge, not only could they tell us about the different animals but also about African traditions and use of plants. Excellent breakfast and excellent dinner and a nice pool area to use between the game drives!

"Great African game lodge experience"

10.0

The Garden Route Game Lodge did not disappoint. The rondavels had the right character for being on an African safari, but still had the comforts of a great hotel. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the food was good. We cooled off in the pool, and enjoyed the views of the veld. But the real stars of this hotel were the animals. The elephants and giraffe, the baby wildebeests and ostriches, the lions, the baby rhino and the cheetah. For a private game reserve, there was a feel that we were in the wilds of Africa.

"A different experience"

8.0

This hotel offers good value for money and a life experience to see the Big 5 and other Game. Traffic from the main National Road (N2) closeby is desturbing early in the mornings. The single beds are very small and chalets are very tight. No space to put suitcases. The Game ranger was vey knowledgeable. The Dinner and breakfast were very good.

"Lovely game lodge - great for families"

8.0

We had a lovely spacious family room (so plenty of space to accommodate our toddler's travel cot and our mountain of luggage!). The room was well located next to the bar/lounge area so in the evenings we were able to put him to sleep and relax in the lounge with the baby monitor still working in range. The game drives were great and we saw plenty of animals during our 2-night (4-drives) stay
