Location, friendly staff, hotel was very clean

Beds not too comfortable and breakfast very limited, but we didn’t mind

Well laid out apartments surrounding a good size pool. The studio apartment we had was ideal for 2 people and well equipt. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants quite close but the main part of Plantanes is about a 10 minute walk. The main centre of Rethymno is about 3 miles away. Plenty buses at 1.20 euros or taxi at 10 euros.

L’hotel è molto carino, pulito e confortevole. La piscina è stata decisamente utile in giorni di vento e mare inaccessibile, è ben tenuta e vicino al bar interno. Le note dolenti sono essenzialmente due la colazione è molto limitata, i prodotti sono principalmente confezionati e di qualità non eccelsa. Allo stesso tempo la cucina presente in ogni camera è molto sfornita, basterebbe aggiungere una padella in più e del detersivo e una spugna senza obbligare il cliente ad acquistarli nel mini market presente nell’hotel

The staff were lovely😍. Extremely helpful and kind. I temporarily lost my reading glasses and they provided a pair for me to use until I went back to the shop where I left them. The rooms were spacious anr very clean. Grounds and pool area cleaned every morning. I would 100% recommend 👌 Margaret Messinger

I think we had some wrong expectations, based on the other places we stayed in Crete which were a little more expansive. We enjoyed our stay, but there are things that can be improved. Also, most guests seem positive, so we might have just had bad luck. Its more of a family destination than a couples retreat. The guests are mostly families. This makes the pool very crowded with 60+ rooms. - after arrival we have to walk back to the bar to ask for wifi, breakfast and safe information. None of this was told upon arrival and there is no info sheet in the room. - there was a blood stain on a pillow. After handing it in, we did get a clean one. There were also smaller stains on other bed cloth. - room smells a little old (if that makes sense, i dont know how else to describe it). Especially when you open the closet, the smell is very stale and we didnt want to put clothes in there. - wifi is terribly slow in the room, even just loading websites is sometimes impossible. Also, in our lower room, the 4g/5g reception is terrible, even for surfing web. Upside: wifi and mobile is strong in reception and pool area - airco is very noisy at times, right above your bed. It makes weird noises sometimes. In fairness, we didn't complain about it but did inform the hotel when we left. - description on booking.con says sea, garden or swimming pool view from your patio. We had none: just a wall at 1 meter. - minor: first hotel in crete that does not have a free water bottle in the fridge upon arrival and no hair products at all. - using the safe costs extra, but the service is not marked as "extra charge" on booking.com, only in a details page somewhere (might even be in between old covid details). Its not expensive, but doesn't feel right. - sound isolation could be better. - no multiple power outlets next to beds. Had to move one of the beds to access a single one which was behind it. - unexpectedly, we had two single beds instead of a double.

Hôtel très bien situé un peu à l’écart du centre ville sans avoir les désagréments du bruit. Point positif hôtel récent très beau avec piscine chauffée et bar. Personnel très agréable, possibilité de se garer a l’intérieur de l’enceinte de l’hôtel (4 places). Point négatif pas de lit double en chambre de 4 personnes, literie un peu dure, petit déjeuner peu copieux. Accessible aux restaurants a pieds idéal !
