Apollon Hotel Apartments

Pleasant pool area.

Aircon was an additional charge (in the middle of a heatwave) and rooms were only serviced once a week. Also not as convenient to the beach as advertised. Very uncomfortable beds.

Nice sized swimming pool, large room, fairly near supermarket & town

Rooms were hot so had the choice at night of being hot or air con on which was very noisy. No blackout curtains so light in the morning, could hear a lot through the walls. Loads of added extras like for safety deposit box. About 15 minutes away from the beach.

This is a great value property with a lovely pool and pool area and bar! We found lots of friendly people staying, a lot of Brits. We had a car so was easy to get around although not essential. Close to shops and restaurants. We stayed for 2 nights after getting into heraklion port in the evening and then heading off to Chania. We both agreed we would have happily stayed longer.

One of the beds, the mattress was showing its age. But still ok after putting a blanket underneath. The overall property was good value though and would recommend.

This is a great location for us. Very reasonable price

The bed is very low and could have done with a more comfortable mattress.

The kitchen stuff was not enough.

We visited it in the middle of October when it was quiet and not crowded both in the hotel and in the neighborhood. Personal was very polite and nice. We had a leaking toilet in our room so they offered us a different one immediately. There is a bar next to the pool so you can have some refreshments while sunbathing and swimming. Pool area was tidy and in order. There is also a small parking space where you can leave a rental car.

Breakfast. There are very limited choices and during our 7 night stay it had almost no variety from one day to another at ALL. We really got tired of eating all the same 7 breakfasts in the row. There are lots of cats in the pool area and some of them are not friendly, even aggressive. Besides one cat had a bell on his neck and since the cat was sitting on our balcony in many nights it really disturbed our sleep. One night the cat with a bell even came in to our room through the open window. Parking place is only for 4-5 cars, so if you are not the first one, you need to leave the car on the street. It was a pitty that it is forbidden to use the pool after 8pm since it shines so nice in the evening.
