"Amazing,welcoming staff"

10.0

I have been to Guatemala many times, and have a general idea of what to expect. This hotel was very nice for a moderately priced hotel in Guatemala. The lobby and pool area were clean and welcoming. The rooms were simple but clean. There wasn't any hot water, but who needs that when its 100 out? What stood out the most was how helpful the staff was. They helped me fond a great tour to Tikal and went out of there way to ensure that I got breakfast before leaving. They also helped me resolve issues with my return flight to Guate. The only negative thing I have to say is that the structure of the hotel, ie the large central court in the middle that is typical of Spanish architecture, meant that it was very loud. There was a large group of students socializing who kept me up late, and then woke me up early. It was a pain, but I cant really blame the hotel for that, and that is a pretty typical experience in Guatemala.

Nice facilities but lack of more amenities. Fair price but I expected a little bit more due to the cost.

"Nice hotel."

Staffing can be a little more friendlier. When asking questions and for assistance it seem like they would not want to be bothered.

"Enjoyable short stay"

8.0

I arrived in the evening around 8:30pm starving. The guy at reception was very helpful and friendly. He spoke no English, I don't speak Spanish but after a bit of sign language and lots of laughter I was settled in my room and directed to a nearby restaurant for dinner.

"Great Value"

10.0

I arrived at 5:30 am and the staff could not find my reservation. However, they still put me in a room (way before check-in time) and agreed to sort out the details in the morning. The staff was very helpful with booking a bus to Belize City. The San Juan bus station is right up the road and the Linea Dorada station is about 5 blocks away, a taxi ride costs less than $1. The restaurant in the hotel only serves breakfast and dinner, they are reasonably priced, but I would suggest walking around the neighborhood for food.

"Very good for he price"

8.0

While this hotel is just outside Flores, it is conveniently located to two bus station, for example for busses going to Belize. You have to walk over the small bridge to get to Flores, where the third bus stop is located. Hotel looks very simple from outside but is very cozy inside with a good court yard where you have good Guatemalan breakfasts. The staff is very helpful, speak a decent English, helps with busses, tours ets. Very good for a night stay to catch tour to Tikal or Yaxha. Quality is very good for the price,

"A good deal for the price"

8.0

I was please with my stay here. They staff were nice and friendly. The only downside is that my room didn't have any hot water. For the price it was a good deal and I had no other issues. I would recommend to others.

"Good location in Santa Elena"

Busy area with cars, trucks and noisy shops compared to Flores but that was not an obstacle. Nice pool to jump in after a hot day at Tikal
