I had booked the Standard Boutique room, It cost me around 1600/- a night (August) via Expedia, and I was extremely amazed at what I got in return. During the peak season, even if it costs you 3000/-, its still worth it. The room was nice and cozy. It had an amazing huge bed, nice wooden furnishing, spacious bath and a coffee area near the entrance.There was no balcony though. Balconies at other rooms are covered with thick sheets of what appeared to be toughened plastic. So, if you are looking for fresh air in the balcony, you would have to re-think. The resort had lot of places to relax, the library, gym and the swimming pool. All upto the mark if not better. I was given Alan's number, at the reception for the rental bike. For the hotel's guests he does not ask for a Security Deposit (usually 500 bucks). Location: The landmark is the St. Anthony's chapel right in the middle of the road. At first, it might look a little off the main road, but this is added peace. 10 mins walk to the beach: Not the Calangute beach but a random shore.

Stayed here for a few days at the end of June. I only have good things to say about the hotel and the staff. They were very hospitable. From facilitating an early check-in and a late check-out with no extra charge to providing a quality experience at the hotel that was value for money, we truly enjoyed our time there. Definitely a winner in my book and will be staying there when I head back to Goa.
Really nice place and comfortable living.Few of the irritants were the irregular power supply to the area that gave a lag before the generator kicked in. Therefore had to constantly hit the menu button on the TV to remove the text on the screen when the system is restarted. Heritage furniture even though of very good quality needed you to put more effort to use such as closing cupboards, locking doors and such.Few of the staff were ignorant of the surroundings and therefore used to give false promises and would make you expect that would be a real downer once reality comes.Other than these few minor irritants, the place was wonderful. The hospitality was excellent / closeness to the more quieter areas of beach is walkable / food is excellent. Service is good. and Staff very friendly.Would definitely recommend a stay for all and would consider staying again given the chance to do so. BTW stayed there for a week.
We wanted to experience the life in an old Portuguese house like in old Goan days. Casa Severina is an old Portuguese house in a big garden and pool. We stayed at this hotel in May, when it was off-season in Goa. We got a standard boutique room, which did not have a view of full garden but it was spacious and had a small patio with a table and chairs. Even the patio had a fan. We had 25% off; so it was really good value for money. Both the buildings, garden and the pool are maintained very well.
