Logis Hotel Beaudon

We had an amazing stay- just walking around the village and eating good food. The hotel was right in front of the pond and had a amazing view of the castle.

La chambre et Sdb propres et confortables. Belle situation près du lac et du chateau. Mais c'est surtout la gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel qu'il faut souligner y compris dans la partie restaurant

Het uitzicht en het vriendelijke personeel. In de kamer was alles, wat we nodig hadden, aanwezig.

Het bed was wat aan de harde kant.

Het personeel was super vriendelijk en heel erg behulpzaam. Het avondeten was erg goed. Keuze niet reuze, maar kwaliteit meer dan goed. De locatie met uitzicht op het Kasteel en meer vergoed heel veel. Regelmatig uit raam staan te staren naar alle prachtige uitzichten.

Zoals vaker in Frankrijk is de kamer echt frans en verwacht geen luxueuze kamer. De bedden waren keihard en daardoor niet fijn. Doordat er geen airco is, is het in de zomer erg warm.

Staff was extremely accomodating. Food was excellent.

We visited for the chateau and have stayed at the Hotel Beaudon before so to return kind of says it all. It's charming, old school and lovely for it. The location is great in the heart of the village overlooking the lake and chateau, has a wonderful terrace for al fresco eating and the food is great, possibly the best breakfast we've had in all the years of visiting France. Dinner was excellent as well... The staff all speak perfect English but were also patient and kind enough to put up with my awful attempts at the language which I, for one, appreciated! Merci a vous.

It's not to say that I didn't like it, but it is an older hotel. For me, that's the charm. There is no lift and no air conditioning for example, but the windows open wide with shutters and how much nicer is that on a warm summer's evening?
