It was clean and staff were very good. Easy check-in. Our room was spacious
Stayed in a twin room with my daughter as we were attending a wedding in Glasgow. Lovely staff who were extremely helpful and an excellent free breakfast. The rooms were dated but would stay here again as this hotel offered great value for money.
Amazing value for comfort, and friendliness of the staff. In a great spot with botanic gardens just over the road. Nice breakfast too. All staff very friendly; nothing too much trouble. Only downfall was that we were on top floor - lots of stairs and no lift, but hey ho you can’t have everything. We will be back x
Persona and intimate fee, but outdated, not very clean and room smelled of cigarettes. Overall, I wouldn’t go back there

Lovely hotel, spacious room and bathroom. Clerk at check-in was very helpful and arranged an airport taxi for us. Wasn't able to have breakfast there, but it was within walking distance of many local restaurants. Only disadvantage, would habe been very difficult to find on our own. Tiny one-way street, tiny sign in the window. But our cab found it just fine, so no worries!
Nice and helpful staff. Good complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast. Excellent location. Room was spacious and clean, but one faucet in the bathroom did not work. Overall great value.
Am a regular at the Clifton and the lovely young receptionist acknowledged me as a repeat guest which was a lovely touch at check in. Room 8 was big, quiet, great shower, and competitively priced bearing in mind Kelvingrove Bandstand Summer Concerts were going on and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As always, I loved my full cooked breakfast and can't praise the breakfast team highly enough for how pleasant and extremely efficient they are. There are an ever growing number of top quality bars, cafes, restaurants, vintage shops etc all within a short walk of the hotel. I also highly recommend the Clifton Hotel for it's excellent transport links (access to Hillhead and Kelvinbridge Subway Stations which connect you with Central Glasgow in 6 to 8 mins), its walkable access to Glasgow highlights like the Botanic Gardens (on the doorstep!), Oran Mor and beautiful Kelvingrove Park and bandstand.
The staff were great and very helpful. We had a peaceful night. The floor are not leveled. I guess its work in progress considering the building is dated.
This was ideal for walking to west end and catching the tube into city centre
