Quiet peacefull plenty of room comfy beds on sweet was good. friendly lady at the desk was very helpfull. Would deffo go back. One of the best hotels i have had the plesure to stay in and it was my mums first ever night in a hotel and she loved it.
I stay regularly and the Clifton is my "go to" hotel for Glasgow as the West End location is perfect for me right by the Botanic Gardens. The complimentary full cooked breakfast and continental options alongside it are excellent and really add to the value. Price point is incredible for the area. Rooms are very quiet for a good night's sleep and staff at reception and breakfast are friendly and helpful.
Staff was so kind, your get a fresh made to order breakfast that isnt powdered eggs! Beautiful house that the hotel is in.
The Clifton Hotel was very near to where we were to have our meeting and was one of the few with available parking (£5/night). The receptionist was extremely helpful and gave us a map of the city and briefed us on what was available in the local area and the attractions in the city as a whole and the public transport arrangements in the city. There is a good selection of food for breakfast. The room was large with two double beds, complimentary toiletries,tv and tea and coffee making facilities. The things that were not so good:- It is an old building with high ceilings and single glazed windows so it is very difficult to heat the bedroom or bathroom to a comfortable level in the winter. (It snowed while we were there.) There were no instructions of what to do in the event of a fire. From the carpark to our room on the 2nd floor there are a lot of steep stairs to climb, so not good for people with mobility issues. Would we stay again? Yes
Very friendly staff, superb cooked breakfast, fantastic location for West End bars, restaurants. Simple, clean, cosy rooms. Great value.

Great place to stay in the west end! This place is definitely basic but breakfast included was a great bonus. The people were super friendly and accommodating and it was everything I needed for a few nights. Would definitely come back!
Great service as always. Property always needs a bit of a touch-up, but that's the nature of an old building.
Nice little hotel close to all amenities in the west end
The hotel is fairly old and has some nice features because of that. The breakfast was standard full cooked fry done to order. Cereal and toast on the side. Amenities are quite basic it would have been nice to have a hairdryer in the room, rather than trudging to reception. Main positives: Great location close to Byres road The hotel was warm and cosy, during our trip it was 1-2 degrees Celsius so that was really imporatnt.
