Carrington Motel

The service was excellent, very pleasant reception, spacious motel unit, very clean, towels changed every day, also very quiet and a back lawn for our grand-daughter to play on. But the best feature was the location, we could walk to Pukekura part for the Festival of Lights. Also not far to drive to the local beach and super market. We have been staying there now for at least 6 or 7 years. Motel unit in need of a bit of TLC but no big deal.

Nice and spacious but needed upgrading. Very tired. Virtually no service but people pleasant enough. Was okay for what we wanted and the bonus was we were able to have our own rooms. Handy walk to town and Pukekura Park.

Was nice and clean and staff very friendly. Was in a central location so made it easy to get around. Thank you for the hassle free stay.

Perfect for a weekend getaway. The room was clean and well insulated. Easy access to the city centre and the coastal walkway.

We had a really late check in. Only really needed somewhere to sleep, so it was perfect. Staff are lovely.

An overnight visit for my father’s(94y) reminiscing! Suitable for us for a short stay. Bathroom a bit small but we managed (I had my father, plus my disabled husband who struggled with the small area) The rest of the room/s were great. Comfortable and clean!

Clean, tidy, lovely outdoors area. Easy parking. Good location for events at the Bowl of Brooklands.

My friend and I stayed here just for one night to take part in a cycle race the next morning. The room was huge. Loads of space for us to store our bikes overnight. Good facilities for tea/coffee and even basic cooking if we'd wanted to. The room was very hot as it faced the afternoon/evening sun and there wasn't a fan/air con unit so we left the door open as long as we could and cracked the window open too. Managed to cool it down a little as the evening wore on. Would definitely stay here again if I was planning to be in New Plymouth. Not far from town or TSB/the racecourse.

Fantastic location...friendly helpful staff, plenty of parking, spacious rooms and amazing shower pressure to die for.

The property was within walking distance of Pukekura Park which is where we were visiting that evening. Unit was big enough for 5 of us without feeling cramped.
