Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Had 2 bedroom suite which was lovely - no issues with room or aircon as in some other reviews and room was spotless and lovely (not tired at all). All staff couldn’t do enough for you and were lovely. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Didn’t have dinner at the hotel - we went out into Sissi every evening. Taxi 7euros each way. Hotel is beautiful, good beach too. It is mainly German guests so all the notices and announcements are in Greek and German and English is not widely spoken apart from reception. And no saving sunbeds!!! Yay!!! Pool beds and umberellas available all day and plentiful. Adults only pool quiet as main pool is huge but can get loud. Didn’t see an accessible room to comment but the whole place is on levels - there are ramps everywhere to accommodate pushchairs and wheelchairs/mobility scooters but if you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you as you will have to walk some distance to the pool or beach or restaurant or gym. Gym is not included in the price of you stay and was 17 Euros for the week.

We’ve been at this hotel before and we were very happy to come back. Now even with 20 clay tennis courts added compared to the sixth they had back then. The great variety of food daily….always great and the room was good after we received the renovated one. The old unrenovatedones (seemingly about 40 years old ) are really not worth 5Stars. After too much time in the sun, also very nice to relax in the spa and get great massages ( Thank you, Chrysa) on those legs after all the sport. we might be back a third time if the price and timing fits.

There are many fine things about this hotel such as its brilliant location, great buffet meals and accomodation if you can pay for it. At the same time it is really unfortunate that our visit was plagued by communication problems reducing our enjoyment. This was worst at the beachfront lunchtime restaurant which requires vouchers from the reception in order to have a half board lunch, a fact of which we were completely unaware. There were several faults in the room which required attention. One day they forgot to clean our room. Therefore on many days this hotel to me felt like a 3 or 4 level hotel instead a five star one. We met some staff who helped. Such as Maria in the restaurants and Julia at reception. We are really impressed by them.

Great food, spacious & nicely furnished accommodations, wonderful staff. Excellent spa/wellness facilities: had a fully revitalising deep tissue massage session with the therapist Chrysa - utterly professional, fully recommend.

Everything you need for a good holiday A lot of space Thank you Claudia for the late check-out I booked a half board bungalow with sea view And everything was perfect. Requested a kettle from Claudia and it was provided. Live entertainment every night Will definitely return

The Room want a bit basic and need a refit to bring it up to todays standards for the money we paid for the room.

We love Greece, and I think Crete is one of the best places to go on vacation with kids (especially if you have young / small kids like us). And when it comes to having proper options for a family of 5 can be complicated but this hotel was everything we were hoping for and even more. we actually had a 2 levels apartment with 2 big bedrooms and a nice bathroom and a view to the mountains on one side and to the see (between other buildings but not really and issue for us) on the other side. The food was very good, like always for the Greek style; but we also had special nights from Chinese to Mexican or Mediterranean. The stuff was very friendly, speaking several foreign languages and always there to assist. Till we meet again!
