The Shore House

This stay was okay. The staff was helpful and considerate. The location is right in town. My issues were that the space detailed that I would have a mini fridge and a microwave, but I was surprised to find out that it is reserved only for king rooms, which was not labeled on the booking. The location said is was 3 minutes to the beach and boardwalk, but was really 10 minutes; that wasn’t an issue for me, but it was not accurate. The complementary breakfast was just cereal and yogurt in the hotel front desk, so not what I had in mind. The hotel is connected/close by the microtel, so that was my only concern as a female solo traveler. However, there were many families at Shoreside so it felt very family friendly. My MAIN issue was the cleanliness. I don’t believe my room was thoroughly cleaned. The shower was slimy AND I uncovered my sheets to find a bunch of hair and cotton swabs under the covers.

My family had a amazing time , the stay was perfect close to stores & only 7 mins from the beach driving.

The sink was clogged with someone else’s hair on day one, bathroom floor & door was dirty. They don’t clean the rooms unless you ask or take out trash, continental breakfast was more like toast & bagels and an apple. One of the towels that we received had a blood stain on it, and found a dead roach smashed on the wall, oh and did I mention there were ants coming out of the AC unit! Very misleading from the pictures online.

No office open, had to drive next door to Microhotel. Outside room access. Bright light outside window, like sleeping with the light on. No extra toilet paper, cigarette burns on the batg tub, no coffeemaker, no microwave, no frig, no chair, no luggage rack. Basically a room with tv on a stand, a bed and a bathroom. Office was open in the morning, basic cold breakfast. Went to restaurant for breakfast. No one in the office when I checked out but door was open. Obviously not recommended but it was reasonably priced. Hair on the walls and sink

I like my room it was cute and cozy. I would come again probably would like the second floor. Need to have better channels to watch because I love TV, also need more wastebasket in the room instead of one. Otherwise it was a cute room, will be back 😊

The room was smaller than suppose. No fridge. Good for a standard day or two.

It was a good experience. Only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast. It’s only bagels and cereal that looks old. And the coffee was from the day before but they were at least honest about it.

Very disappointed in this property. we had an ant issue in both rooms. Went to the check in office at 5pm ish , mind you we checked in round 4, to report the issue and see if it could be accommodated for another room just to find out that the office was closed. On top of that said to visit store for more assistance, which was not really helpful, they didn’t have other rooms they could put us in, they sent out the exterminator which didn’t really help the issue. The bathroom smells like a pee and it was not helpful to not have someone on site for assistance. At the price point paid, $800 for two rooms, we did expect rooms with clean bathrooms & no bugs. Very disappointed

This was short of horrible. Refrigerator & microwave were in an awkward location. Hard to get to. Shower curtain rod was installed upside down so shower curtain would not stayclosed. Towels were like sand paper. The room rate was affordable but the quality of the room was horrible
