Khaolak Laguna Resort

Nice well kept grounds, lovely to walk around and minutes away from village, which over the last 6yrs has grown and grown, lots of shops, bars, restaurants. Nice pool area, and never a shortage of sunbeds. Food in hotel restaurant very good, although we were only b+b, good range of international foods. The bar and beachfront restaurant also good standard. The problem we had was the front desk staff can't really speak good English and understanding them was not easy, we did ask questions but did not get answers. Another problem was beach towels, no one explained the way to get them to us. The maid was supposed to leave them in the room for us, this however didn't happen and on three occasions had to phone reception. It was the same with bath towels, despite leaving them in the bath they were hung back up. I ask what the mosquito situation was like to be told "there aren't any" , not true as my missus was bitten a few times in the night. As l say the only problem was front desk staff, one woman in particular was rude, and l think a bit of training required. Overall a nice place to stay.

We learned that Khao Lak Laguna resort is the oldest hotel of the bay which explains it traditional architecture and location, directly on the Nang Thong beach. We appreciated the fact that the hotel is very well designed, with large bedrooms with balconies. The breakfast buffet is great, located in a very nice building. Large choice of location of day beds which is appreciated in order to have some intimacy despite the crowd at this time of the year (january). The beach is very nice, great spot for long swimming session. The hotel also provides kayaks and paddles.

Since the beach is very nice, it is also very crowded but it may be quieter outside peak season....

The room was large and spacious, plus the hotel is right on the beach. Breakfast buffet has a live station for different types of coffee and drinks which is quite cool. Great vibes for retirees and families with little kids (80% of the guests).

The shower head in the shower area is wall-mounted and does not have a hose connected. The bathtub has a shower head with a hose but the area does not have a shower curtain so the bathroom floods when you try to use it. The facilities in the room look a little tired, overall slightly overpriced for what we paid for. The location is a little off centre where the night market is and costs THB 150 for a tuktuk with no Grab taxis available.

차분한 분위기, 넓고 아름다운 부지의 호텔. 다음에 또 방문할 의향이 있습니다. 방도 정말 넓었어요 그런데 침대시트가 엄청 깨끗하진 않네요

The beer from room delivery every time was warm. All other services are the best.

Great hotel, close to bars and restaurants. Maid service was always brilliant. Helpful staff. Lagoons look a little bit dirty and right near to our room needed tidying up (near the car park) but we would definitely return.

Friendly and helpful staff with such a warm and informative welcome. Great villa, beautiful beach, lovely pools, fantastic food and lots of wildlife. We never usually stay at the same place twice, but loved our 3 night stay so much, we have already booked to return for 7 nights.
