Hampton Inn Colby

The room was very nice for a queen bed — I was too late booking so the king rooms were taken. Great water pressure in the shower! Also the poppyseed scones were delicious!

The breakfast was very good. All the entries were warm and fresh. Very clean.

The room was adequate but small. For the price expected a somewhat larger room.

Didn't like that they changed me for three rooms now I have to wait 7-10 days to get my money back. I ordered two kings then called before leaving for my trip and was told I only have one so wound up ordering another room. Then when I arrived told I have 3 rooms told them I only need 2 but they went ahead and changed me for three. On a tight budget on a trip and this did not help. It's okay to be without money at home but not when you are away from home. I did like Nick and the breakfast was exceptional and the checkout and breakfast hours were above average. Room was nice.

Clean hotel, breakfast was typical Hampton Inn breakfast, great variety of cereal, yogurt, hot breakfast items. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. Lots of parking available. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. If in area would stay there again.

Quiet

We traveled throughout the USA and Canada this summer staying primarily at Hampton Inns by Hilton and this one in Colby is clearly not up to par with other ones. The elevator carpet looked like a football team had a scrimmage on it. Bathroom floor was dirty and the shower knob fell off during my shower. Highway noise was loud with trucks using air brakes as we were on the side facing the highway. There are numerous other hotel options nearby to consider and probably have a better value for the money.

Stay was great. Cleaner than the Hampton Inn we stayed at the previous night. Only suggestion is that when guests have a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, the cleaning staff don’t try to clean the room until after the designated check-out time unless they know the guest has already left. We were woken up at 8:30 and they returned at 9:00 and we were not ready or packed up to leave yet.
