I had a single room. It was quiet and comfortable. The décor was better than most hotels. My only recommendation to the hotel would be to improve the working space in the single room 8. I worked for part of the time and space was an issue for laptop and other work information. The breakfast was exceptional, would recommend. Small and friendly, avoids the corporate nonsense of so many hotels

A beautiful Georgian house, packed to the rafters with colourful artworks and thoughtfully chosen furnishings, on a very quiet street. I was in room 12 - possibly the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in - but it had everything I needed. A lovely comfy bed, with storage beneath it, a powerful shower and quality toiletries, with a view over the lovely gardens. Staff at breakfast were lovely 👍

The curtain wasn’t quite wide enough to block out all the light in the morning - I like a properly dark room. Personally, I don’t like rain showers - I like the option of a handheld shower head, but that’s personal preference.

A fantastic small hotel on a charming Edinburgh street. Feels like it's out of the way but only a short walk to the centre and tourist attractions. The room was perfect, great bed and huge windows overlooking the gardens.

We stayed here over a long weekend in April. The location is very close to everything, we pretty much walked everywhere. Calton hill is right there and the Castle is a 20 mins walk thought the nice part of town. In terms of Atmosphere its very charming with beautiful decor and paintings on every wall. We stayed in the Junior Suit with a view into the beautiful backyard, it was a joy to wake up every morning to the magnificent view. Great value given the location and quality of the room. The room was very clean and so was the rest of the hotel. It was very quite given that its not on the main street. Everyone we met were kind and amazing in terms of the service staff. This alone would make me go back. Thanks for having us and taking care of us.

My second stay at 24 Royal Terrace & this time for nine nights in Room 8, which like Room 12 & where I was on my first visit, is a single cosy room with a garden view & again this was a fantastic snug & cosy wee room ideal for the solo traveller. Many thanks to Katie, Annabella, Cynthia & please forgive me, I've forgotten the name of the lady who checked me in on my first night (Tuesday) who all made my second stay at 24 Royal Terrace a most comfortable & pleasant one once more....
