Really helpful staff. Great location in the old town. Easy to get to other places.

The hotel team were very helpful, attentive and friendly. They offered to carry our luggage as there was no lift on site, excellent customer service. The room was compact, but very clean and comfortable, with all that we needed for a one noight stay.

Large, comfortable room. Very clean. 68 steps to the top floor with no elevator, but helpful staff carried luggage up and down.

Great base to explore Edinburgh

Amazing view from the window, spacious room, very clean and tidy. They provide complete of teas, coffee, iron, and hairdryer. I love the big mirror in bed room and a beautiful mirror in shower room. Staff are nice and helpfull. Close to station and mall. It doesn't has lift but the stairs is not bad for a little exercise.

We requested for a ground floor room... got 2nd floor room alloted and unfortunately they dint had elevators in premise... But guess what.. then we had Alex and the management that care and she helped worked out options to get us room on 1st floor..with a complementary upgrade of the room to suite. . In terms of breakfast..its was not a buffet, they served 1 item out of 7 as part of paid breakfast

This hotel is very nice. It is very conveniently located, just a block from the train and bus stations as well as old city center of Edinburgh. The staff gave me a free upgrade to a suite which was wonderful, except that this was the “ literary suite” with 3 full-size paintings of famous Scottish authors on the wall, staring at you…

Great walkable location. Staff is very friendly and effective for quick requests. Clean place. Only complaint is that our bed was very uncomfortable, lumpy and hard. Would recommend they invest in new plush mattresses.
