Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort & Spa

The Sleeping Lady is a hidden gem of relaxation just a few hours from greater Seattle area. Wonderful and friendly staff with a very good restaurant and bar.

The resort is beautifully designed and nestled into one of the loveliest areas in the entire PNW. Cars are parked away from the cabins, ensuring maximum peace and quiet. Walking trails abound, the pool is set on a hillside with a view of the woods and the resort ambiance makes you feel both comfortable and surrounded by nature.

My wife and I had been trying to go to Sleeping Lady for 3 years, but wildfires and other things got in the way. We finally made it in May 2026. We checked into our room on a cool day (about 48 F). The room was lovely, like the pictures, but it wasn't much warmer than the outside. We turned up the heat on the thermostat and noticed a few minutes later that instead of pumping warm air into the room, the vents were blowing cold air. After our call the front desk sent a person out to look at it. He confirmed that we had the thermostat set correctly and commented that it is an old system and it may take a while to warm up. After an hour of nothing happening we called again and got the same result. About 6 hours later the room was warm enough from the bathroom heater for us to take off our down coats. The forced air heat never did work for the entire 3 days we were there. We understand that there can be mechanical issues. However in any reasonable establishment management would have relocated us to a room with heat. Management's only comment was for us to complain to the general manager when we get home. They gave us the business card. Also of note was the almost complete lack of dining options on Sunday mornings. The ONLY on-site option is a $25/person buffet and all we wanted was coffee and a light breakfast. This is a nice facility with a nice location. Too bad that management does not seem to care about their guest's experience.

I like the jacuzzi by the mountains!
