Short overnight stay. Lovely hosts and location with large room with great views.

Smeaton Farm is gorgeous! It’s set in beautiful countryside and, when I visited, everything was freshly decorated. The room was spacious, comfortable and also beautiful. I had everything I needed. Fabulous choice of breakfast - you won’t go hungry!

The property was lovely with stunnning views of the countryside. The room was spacious and clean with a dressing room and modern en suite bathroom. The breakfast was lovely: choice of full English/Cornish, pastries and kippers as well as fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast and jam, tea, coffee and juice.

We, 2 adults and a child, flew in from the US and drove in from London. Due to traffic delays and difficulty in finding the B&B we arrived around 11 pm. Check-in time ended at 9pm. We had called ahead but no one had picked up the phone. When we arrived the owner was kind enough to help us with our luggage. The room was really hot even with the window open. No AC. No fan. Our child hit his head on the wooden bed frame. The shower was erratic. I got burned when it suddenly got hot. In the morning, we got up a bit late at 9.30 am due to jet lag and our late arrival. While we were getting dressed, we received a knock on the door. "Are you aware that checkout time is at 10 am?", the hostess said. We hurried downstairs. No one was around. No breakfast was available. We knocked on the door of the staff. No answer. Not a pleasant experience.

Absolutely stunning views and location! It was a dream to wake up there. Great breakfast and hosts too!!

The owners at Seamton were very accommodating allowing to checking and collect our room keys prior our room was ready. This gave us the freedom to maximise our arrival day travelling around Cornwall returning late that evening. We stayed there for 3 nights. Our large room had great views over the country side and very comfortable. Breakfast choice and amount was excellent so much so we did not need lunch during the day. Overall we would recommend Smeaton Manor as a great base for your stay in Cornwall.

Warm and welcoming working family farm.. Lovely room overlooking the Devon countryside. Great base for visiting the many sites on the Devon Cornwall border. Very near Cotehele (NT). A short drive to Plymouth and Saltram House (NT) and good roads to the heart of Cornwall. Spent three nights and wished for more.

Very well decorated and comfortable room. Well cooked good quality food. Have already booked again.

Stayed two nights at Smeaton Farm this beautiful farmhouse was just 40minutes away for our visit to the Eden Project, had a very warm welcome and the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you for such a great stay.
