Smeaton Farm

We only stayed one night, but it was so restful it felt longer plus we know we'll return. Richard and Sarah were fab hosts, the room was gorgeous and food delicious.

I have always been lucky with b&bs but this one turned out complete disappointment. Smeaton farm is in the middle of nowhere which is fine if you can easily get there! After a very long drive we just wanted to crash! Host was rude and unwelcoming! She left us at the door to check her register. She looked as if she had seen a ghost. Next morning, Breakfast was total disappointment. No one attends you, no one cares!

We were bringing back our son after his first year at Plymouth university and needed an overnight stay. Wanting something different to a city hotel we chose this pleasant farm b&b just 20 minutes from the centre of Plymouth. This is a lovely quiet place with excellent country views. The room we had (Weeping Ash) was perfect and the breakfast in the morning excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this as s place to stay if you are looking for a nice country retreat.

Stayed here for a week. B & B in the middle of nowhere as a working farm but absolutely beautiful. Rooms spacious, spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order and service and hospitality first rate. Cannot recommend highly enough as long as you like peace and quiet.

I stayed here on a business trip, if you are using a sat nav to find it, just keep driving past it's location and you'll get to the farm. It is a quiet setting and a very nice place to stay, the staff are pleasant and helpful. Upon arrival I was shown where breakfast was and asked to fill out what I would like for breakfast. It would have been nice to have been told that an evening meal could have been available but I did arrive later than planned so it's understandable. If you're looking for a relaxed and quiet base for a couple of nights then I would fully recommend Smeaton Farm
