We had a good few days at the Anchorage, with good food, good spa facilities and pleasant helpful staff

We have just returned after a three night stay. Really nice stay , room clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpfull , as we're the owners who are very hands on and approachable. We stayed full board and excellent value for money and can't fault the food in anyway. Plenty of off road parking and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. We have booked for return in November and again in January with friends and family.

This hotel is good value for money. It’s clean and although slightly dated gives you what you need. The drinks are reasonably priced, the breakfast was good and the staff are friendly. It’s in a good location to visit the seafront too. Next time I’d book direct rather than through a booking site.

Cheap and cheerful hotel, staff lovely and go out of their way to help! Food lovely and plenty of choice, entertainment most nights.

just got back from Babbacome Anchorage hotel the hotel is ok iff you are very lucky to have a nice room the food was awfull breakfast was very greasy evening meal was worst the menu was was no selection choice of 2 1st meal chicken or fish 2nd cottage pie or fish 3rd meal was greasy bellypork or fish the last meal was the same but dont worry there is a fish chip shop down the road this is a genuinely true post we wont go back again

A three night stay at the Anchorage hotel With a touring bowls team A nice 3star hotel ,that said a few of the rooms could do with a little modernising But remained clean and tidy throughout The staff at this hotel are the major asset to this establishment Every member of staff would greet you with a smile and will go over and above to provide your requirements ,nothing was too much trouble The food here was very good with enough choice on the menu A well stocked bar which was taken full advantage of of with 40 plus thirsty bowlers to contend with The general consensus within the team was ,we wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel ,once again a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our trip a memorable one keep up the good work We look forward to to returning

Just spent a 3 night weekend break at this hotel with 42 other guys on a bowling tour. It’s listed as a 3* hotel and in my opinion it’s worth everyone of them. From the moment we got off the coach the staff were very friendly and helpful, big shout out to Russel & Naomi, but all the staff were great. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, food was good, limited choices but something for everyone. Outside heated pool & hot tub a bonus, again very clean and well maintained. Overall could not fault it and would recommend to anyone, couples or groups and could possibly return if they’ll have us😊

We only stayed here for one night, but will, without doubt, be back! This is a gem of a find, just off the main street of Babbacome. The staff were so welcoming, making a fuss of us and our dogs. We arrived early and we were able to park the car and head into Torquay on the bus. Once we got back to the hotel we checked in and had a very welcome drink (or two) in the sunny garden. Our room was just fine, and had everything we needed for a great night's sleep. We ate in the bar as we had the dogs with us and despite the place being busy, our food was delivered to our table promptly. Everything was piping hot and well cooked. Breakfast, again in the bar, was a buffet and there was plenty to suit even the fussiest eater! The location is perfect for an amble around Babbacombe, or, as we did, a bus trip into Torquay. Cannot fault our stay, and we will certainly be taking advantage of some of the Autumn offers. Finally, it is so nice to find a hotel that does not charge a ridiculous amount per dog, per night! Well done to all at the Ànchorage!!!

Had a mystery coach trip with Gibbons coaches and The Anchorage was our destination. (September 5-7th) What a lovely place. All staff were friendly, welcoming and obliging. Top marks to the chef for the tastiest tomato soup and beef lasagne I have had pleasure of tasting. Outdoor pool was a welcome after a day spent walking. Great fun. Everything is clean. Room comfortable. My only moan? I couldn’t see the sea but that’s my personal preference. Thoroughly enjoyed the evenings spent with friends and fellow passengers. Laughter and happy smiling friendly staff make for a great hotel.
