"Great location, very friendly staff."

8.0

Good location, free private parking.

Very small single room. Bad accoustic insulations which for me is a huge aspect. Builing work since 8am (I believe temporary only) .

"Beautiful place to stay"

9.0

Beautiful property with a lovely manager, Debbie who was incredibly helpful and greeted me when I arrived. The room was beautifully decorated and more than adequate size wise. Absolutely spotless with a very comfortable bed. Facilities to make tea and coffee, a hair dryer which is always a necessity and clean white towels provided. Even the housekeeping staff were friendly and polite in the morning when I left, overall a lovely, friendly, warm and welcoming place to stay.

"Beautiful little guest house"

8.0

Beautiful guest house, really pretty and well kept both inside and out. Lovely little seating area outside in the sun and had a homely feel when inside. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces. We found the guest house itself was inaccessible until check-in time, so if you arrived early like we did, you could not enter the building. As the town was closely situated, it was easy to reach on foot rather than drive, so we made use of the time to look around before returning to check-in. The room we had was one of the loft rooms, so it was quite small, but again, it was beautifully decorated and clean. If you struggle with mobility, i would recommend messaging the property to see if they can allocate a room with the least stairs to it as some may struggle. In all, we met three lovely ladies who were working, and all were very friendly and chatty, a real pleasure to have met. Breakfast was available, but we did not eat there. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here. It has a lovely ambience, is clean and nicely decorated, and with a 10 minute walk into the centre the location is good.

When on foot, the front steps up to and from the property go directly onto the road, and there is no pathway at all on that side of the road. This was a bit daunting to cross as it was very busy with traffic when we walked to town. There apparently is a crossing further up, but we did not know this at the time. As we had a loft room, the beam and walls were quite low in places, so you had to be careful not to bang your head, if you were tall in height you would need to do a fair bit of crouching. We didn't find this a major problem but just a bit inconvenient having to watch where you walk within the room.

A compact twin room was everything we needed for a couple of nights. We had a warm welcome at check in. There was tea and coffee in the room but we didn't try breakfast. It's an easy 10 minute walk into town.

"Perfection!"

10.0

If you come to England to explore small towns, Banbury is a must-see. You'll think: Aha! I've seen that town before! Especially if you're a fan of Midsomer Murders or Poirot. Banbury is a place for lovers of stone houses, roses blooming in all colours, history and mystery. Where better to have ghosts than in a house over 600 years old, once said to have belonged to George Washington's nephew and the Bishop of Lincoln? It was at Easington House that we were fortunate enough to stay. It was a dream come true. We've visited many places, but nowhere has been so beautiful, comfortable, welcoming, and unique. Located on Banbury's outskirts, yet still close to the city centre and train station, this guesthouse is managed by ladies with angelic souls. Exceptionally kind and caring, they are the good spirits of this place, which itself is straight out of a Victorian romance. This made us change our plans and stay an extra day. The house is surrounded by a stunning greenery of wonderfully fragrant flowers and shrubs. The omnipresent stone seems to whisper tales of bygone times. When you step inside, the view of the interior, with its large, working fireplace and stone floors, is breathtaking. The bedrooms are pure 'Sense and Sensibility' combined with a magnificent, large, comfortably furnished bathroom that can surprise with its functional solutions. Beds are available in both small and large sizes, exceptionally comfortable. The alcoves, dressing tables, and decorative elements are a true paradise for the eyes and soul. Behind the house, hidden in the shade of hedges, a garden with tables and chairs offers a relaxing setting both day and night. Breakfast in the bright, atmospheric dining room overlooking the lush garden is a pure pleasure. The prices are surprisingly low for the high standard, and the experience itself is priceless. Easington House is undoubtedly the most wonderful and charming place we've ever been!
