The location was nice. The staff was helpful but they couldn’t do much as every time they would tell me to reach out to booking.com. Free parking.

For entry you required a PIN code which was not provided at the time of booking. I had to call the number that was pasted on the entrance to ask for support. No physical staff available to support. It was mostly virtual assistance (on phone). I did not know which room I was supposed to stay in. The wifi password was not provided. And the worst was I got charged CAD115 for “Cleaning charges.” I only spent one night.

The area

No one to talk to at the lodge after 5pm (didn't know that ahead of time?) I paid for 5 rooms, they only sent me 3. Then after over an hour later, they sent me the other 2. Didn't explain to me that those rooms weren't even in the same building. That building didn't even have a working elevator . I had 3 of the rooms there with a 77 year old, 68 year old and one guy we just brought back from the hospital with a herniated disk. When I finally realized that the other 2 rooms were in the other building, it was almost 11pm. The next day we found out the ice machines and soda machines, as well as the sauna didn't even work in either building. The hot tub in the 2nd building was cold. No one to talk to about us having taller trucks and a trailer and where to park them. No where to get extra towels for the 2nd night. I had to help 5 other guests in contacting the people in charge via phone. They even gave the elderly lady the wrong building with a code that opening l opened up someone else's room. Then told them it was the wrong building after. I asked that first night for a refund so I could go somewhere else. And they just said sorry the cancelation policy doesn't allow that. The place is very out dated! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT A BOOKING!

The space was nice, view of main road not ideal but ok

No one at front reception.. Received an email the day of arrival of a few codes for entry, took several tries to get in the main door.. Once in the rooms are not straight forward. We were on the 2nd floor.. No operating elevator.. For older people would have been terrible. Then opening our room door I was told it was four digits and I tried the ones they gave us.. Didn't work.. After about 20 minutes figured out they forgot to mention the #.... @ the end.. Having been on the road for 9 hours that is the last thing people want to deal with. To be clear, I am a tourist guide that works around the world.. I rarely make comments but this place was not discribed as it was.. And was disappointing

"Hotel is needing some TLC"

Disappointed in our stay. The hotel is showing its age and maintenance is not keeping up. First off, the elevator was out of service and guest services thought sending guests multiple emails about it was their way to cya. The elevator went down in December. We were there in March and saw no one trying to fix it. Only signs on the elevator saying “out of order” and “thanks for understanding”. We didn’t realize how inconvenient it was until we had to haul our food and gear up 3 flights of stairs for 4 days. I don’t know about you but last time I checked we were not staying in a third world country that doesn’t maintain its equipment. There were paint chips on the stairways, dirty carpets and just a general feel that this place has changed. We have stayed here twice in the past during its early days. Beautiful, shiny, clean. It’s the best place to stay if you want to ski KH which is why we book here but this last experience will make us seriously look elsewhere.
