Hotel Blackhawk, Autograph Collection

BED BUGS STAY AWAY - ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY I've stayed at the blackhawk many times over the last decade of work in the quad cities and over the years their decline is obvious. This last trip was the last straw. I stayed at the Hotel Blackhawk between 06/01/25 - 06/10/25 in room 314 and left with a severe case of bed bug bites – confirmed by photos and my Primary care physician. What’s worse is how the hotel handled it: They responded to my initial email and said they would do an inspection, then ghosted me on all communication. I emailed twice with no response. I called and left a message for the room manager detailing the situation – still no follow-up. No offer to update me on the investigation, compensate, or even acknowledge the health risk. This wasn’t a case of one or two bites. I have multiple welts, discomfort, and disrupted sleep from a situation that was entirely avoidable. I’ve had to deep clean my belongings and had to replace luggage, and clothing just to avoid bringing the infestation home. It’s incredibly disappointing for a hotel that once was so lovely to have fallen so far and to ignore something this serious. Whether it was neglect, lack of protocol, or just poor customer service, I strongly advise against staying here until they demonstrate accountability and proper sanitation standards. Photos of bites are available and I will be reporting this to the proper health authorities.

First time at the BH and from start to finish we were very impressed with the overall property. We've stayed in other Autograph properties around the country and it's a real treat to have a hotel of this caliber in Davenport, IA.

Lovely, comfortable, beautiful historic hotel with lots of charm. The renovation upgrades keep us returning. We love the renovated, quality bathroom- especially the TV in the bathroom mirror. The room is large and roomy. A very pleasant stay.

The Blackhawk is a vintage property by the Mississippi River. It has good amenities and is in a very walkable, quiet neighbourhood. Great beds and rooms are clean, however it's showing it's age and could use some updating.

The property was beautiful and very clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be spending the night

Wowza, is this a beautiful hotel! It has a charm reminiscent of the 1920s, yet it’s updated and modern with rooms firmly rooted in 2025. The lobby is spectacular, with marble floors, ample seating, and a cozy bar. And be sure to look up. The lobby ceiling is gorgeous. The rooms and hallways on the upper floors look like they’e been renovated fairly recently. My wife comes here for work regularly and says some of the rooms are huge - almost like an apartment. This time, which was *my* first visit, we got a room with a lot of space, a king bed, and a huge bathroom that featured a walk-in shower AND a massive tub (a family of 5 could have fit int it). I rarely sleep well the first night in a hotel, but after my head hit the pillow I slept for a solid 8 hours. The Blackhawk is a classy hotel with a lot of personality. It’s now atop my list of favorite hotels. If your travels take you to Davenport, don’t miss it.

Great location

Could use a refresh of the rooms. Beautiful older building but my carpet was lifting in two places, blinds were looking aged. And the lobby was packed with loud yelling kids everywhere. And party bikes pedaling by on the street below all night that you could hear on the 4th floor.

Hotel Blackhawk is a lovely, clean, renovated property, with kind and cooperative staffing -- from front desk to engineering to housekeeping -- and beautifully appointed guest rooms. Where Blackhawk falls down is 1) very poor wifi service; 2) just average breakfast food quality; 3) ease or exiting the parking lot -- the parking is convenience, but the exit process is not. We would stay there again. We were very comfortable.
