The Wordsworth Hotel

Great place to stay, positioned perfectly in the Lake District, close to some great walks. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfy, however if you was a tall person your feet would hang out the bottom. The bathroom had seen better days, it was however clean. We had breakfast and dinner, thought the food was too notch, generous and the service from the waiters was second to none.

We enjoyed two relaxing nights at The Wordsworth and cannot find fault. The highlight was the staff - without fail each one was pleasant, helpful, efficient and well presented. The hotel was warm, clean and comfortable and the food varied, hot and well cooked. All in all an excellent experience.

Room was small but spotlessly clean and fresh decoration. Bathroom looked new.It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay including loads of tea, coffee and biscuits. Fresh towels and other supplies were delivered to our door in the morning as there as no servicing of rooms during a stay due to Covid protocols. The hotel felt very safe with hand sanitiser throughout the premises with staff and most residents wearing masks in the public areas. Breakfast was table service with a wide range of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is ideally situated for some lovely walks with spectacular views. We enjoyed our stay at The Wordsworth Hotel and would certainly go back.

Very comfortable and warm atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful one even helped jump-start our car after i drained the battery! The bedroom was a bit cramped though. We definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wordsworth hotel. It felt very safe with good COVID practices in place . The restaurant staff were particularly friendly and courteous and very accommodating. Check in was quick and all staff very helpful. They maybe need to train on how to make a good cappuccino though . The welcome complimentary drink and biscuits and coffee pods just added to the feeling that your stay was important.useful walk information too. I would certainly return here again .

A lovely hotel; a warm welcome at the reception, great staff that couldn’t do enough for you and really great tasting superb quality food.
