Staff and awners were all very friendly and helpful. Food was good and room comfortable. What more can one ask.

I walk with a walking stick and they don’t have a lift, and all the rooms are up a flight of stairs with only a bannister on one side. To make things worse when we got to the room there was no air conditioning which you said it did have in each room. Your discription never mentioned about stairs and no lift very disappointed.

Young energetic staff doing their best; but the fabric and fittings of this hotel need refurbishment- carpets, beds need replacing. Shabby without chic!

Clean well decorated and comfortable room for 4 people. Super friendly staff. Kids’ meals excellent. Great breakfast. . Fast service. Cute and quaint exterior. Sweet little area, good view from window. Negatives: no blackout curtains in rooms so very bright in the early morning, no fridge in room and water pressure in shower was non-existent. Room 18. But I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

We read some reviews before we arrived that suggested the rooms were not all one might wish by way of decoration, paint on carpet, poor tile grout etc. We can confirm this is the case. However that said you get what you pay for. The room was otherwise clean, comfortable and served its purpose. Breakfast was OK.

Staff were very friendly and helpful but the hotel suffers from a lack of maintenance. Hair dryer did not work. Paint on furniture and carpet. Common areas need attention and better cleaning. One breakfast was average and one was good. Different chefs. Female chefs meal was better.

nice family run hotel - in mid refurb which it needs but nice staff and great location

Stayed for one night, booked a family room for the four of us, two young boys three and eight. Staff welcoming and friendly. Room very impressive, spacious with on suite. All good, but....... did notice not very clean in the bathroom. Tiles, inside shower area, plug hole very dirty. Room needed a good hoover. Noticed the furniture had not been moved for cleaning as filthy behind bed and draws etc. We did eat in the restaurant and again staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Food not bad. Breakfast ok. What let it down the most just needed a good clean, shame really as the place has such great potential.

We were disappointed to find the room allocated had not been cleaned very well and the beds had been slept in. The hotel is under new management and they had only taken over 2 days previously so hopefully things will improve. We had stayed 2 or 3 years ago and whilst everything needed updating it was clean. the whole place is very tired looking and in places quite grubby. Unless it improved we would not book there again. The breakfast was probably the best part of our stay
