The Bull's Head Inn at Chelmarsh

This is such a lovely place to be. It has great views and the owners seem really nice. The room we stayed in was more than ample in size and the facilities were clean and tidy. The decor was a bit tired but that's being picky. We could also hear a lot of noise from the bar, and the night we stayed, there was a banjo playing till Midnight. But this didn't cause too much of an issue. The main issue that we suffered from was a air conditioning fan that came on at around 7:30. No need for an alarm clock, checked out by 9:30.

A really nice hotel. Very comfortable and nicely decorated bedroom. The cooked breakfast, along with a choice of cereals etc was very filling and enjoyable, and set us up for the day.

I was very dissapointed with this accommodation. Our room was by the main road with single glass windows which meant we had no sleep at all all night. Our room was also above the restaurant pub which meant we could hear peoples voices till pass 11'. The preassure on the shower was very poor to the point i could no was my hair. There was a big dead fly in the window cell which looked quite old. Pillows no confortanle at all. I was looking forward to spend a good night with my two children but it turned into a dissaster

Very enjoyable holiday

We were put in a ground floor disabled room although we're not disabled. It was adequate and comfortable but quite small with a small television which was mounted too high up on the wall for its size. The bathroom was rather dark and a bit grotty which was disappointing. The staff were excellent and the food hot, very good and plentiful.

Fantastic place, a real find. Food was incredible, fab hospitality, live band Saturday night, and a terrific breakfast the following morning. We will definitely be back!!!

Recalcitrant , disinterested staff, dirty dust and cobwebs everywhere. Chef ruined two expensive fillet steaks which we left most of. Bathroom had wallpaper! Bedroom (room 4) had a bedside lamp and clock radio but no wall sockets to plug either in to! The water in the bathroom was very hot without any notice indicating so. We left as soon as we could wondering how this place ever has been rated. Also each weekend there is live music which when we stayed was blue grass cat a wauling. We would never recommend this place to anyone who likes good food and a clean bed and hair free breakfast. I would describe this place as run down, dirty and dated. Not a very nice experience at all and certainly will not be returning. Yuk.

Very enjoyable,only for one night

Made really welcome. Food excellent in terms of quality and quantity. Only let down by the showers, which were frankly poor.

Lovely hotel/pub. Staff very friendly, Rooms were spotless & well maintained. Great views over the surrounding countryside & handy for exploring Shropshire.
