The Chermside Apartments

I booked for a significant birthday celebration and was disappointed with the apartment for the price. It was run down and several taped up damaged light switches, hole in floor tile was taped over. with It is clean and the beds were fine. It’s nice and quiet.

You need to make sure you arrange to check in online if you’re arriving later. The reception says it’s open till 7 but we noticed they would leave early many days. Room was clean however there was no fan in the bathroom so it was very musty. There’s also no where to put your luggage or bags. No safe. Overall stay was ok all we wanted was somewhere clean to stay and it was

convenience to services great, rooms basic but OK. You get what you pay for.

Location

Disappointed with the lighting in a key area outside lift, lights not working and very dark. Bathroom was smelly as the central drain was dirty.

Unfortunately our third visit over the years was not good. We had one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and when we asked for another one we were told they didn’t have any. After asking for the third time one roll appeared in the bathroom while we were out and this was 1 1/2 days after our first request and we were using a box of tissues. We also asked for some laundry detergent and the same answer that they didn’t have any and would pass on to us when available and it was put in the apartment that afternoon. We were booked for 11nights and had to ask for a service on the 7th day but it was done on the 8th day and all that was done was to replace the towels, bath mat, hand towel and empty the overflowing bin. The bedding was not changed for the 11 nights we were there and not even a vacuum. Sadly we would not recommend the property at this time.

The shower was amazing, the bed comfy. Really quiet, had a good night's sleep. Staff were friendly, breakfast was ok.

1 out of 5. Booked through RACV and had an expectation of something great. Extremely disappointed and will never be back. Check in was for 2pm, we got there at 4:30 and the room wasn’t ready. Had to wait until 5:30 to get into the room. When we got into the room, the size of the apartment was great but nothing was clean. Not sure why it took so long to clean then? Positives: * spacious * clean sheets * blockout curtains * great toilet paper * location is perfect Negatives: * there was food all over the coffee table * all kitchenware was filthy * kettle broken * shower leaked out the shower door and the back off the shower to the toilet * fan don’t work in the bathroom so when the dryer was in use the whole apartment was dewy and unsafe to walk anywhere * shower was filthy * pool was not heated as advertised * mattress protector has filthy * balcony looked like it had never been cleaned * had to slam the front door to make it lock * had to slam the outside door from the kitchen to be able to lock it * carport is crazy. Tiny stops which don’t work well with a people mover and limited parking. * random sports car parked in reception. * whole place needs a makeover For what we paid, I expected better. So much better. People beware, the photos are not what the place is like. It’s all a lie and the reviews on other places are a lie. Find somewhere better and enjoy it!

Great view of area on 7th floor but car parking area for visitors was a dump( not actually a carpark area at view but changed from $5 par day to park there I would never pay any money to park there even my visitors
