The Chermside Apartments

We paid for a 3 bedroom apartment and upon a late arrival we were given a 2 bedroom apartment with no reason why and no refund for the less expensive room! Very disappointed.

Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Sadly we were very disappointed in the property. It was nothing like the photos whatsoever. Our 'deluxe' 3 bedroom was in very poor condition. I was embarrassed for the other members in our group that they had to stay there. In all honesty we would have left and gone elsewhere if we didn't have to be at an event that afternoon.

Very convenient for our purposes. Staff were wonderful and helped us out with info and services. The shuttle bus to Suncorp was just a short walk around the corner and Westfield just across the road. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Our room had some form of liquid splattered up the wall, toe nail clippings on the patio and when I went to use a glass it had caked dried milk in the bottom of it. Mentioned to staff on departure wasn’t offered a discount. All you can smell is extreme curry as soon as you exit the lift. Parking spaces are very difficult to get in to.

Great staff. Simple but great to have breakfast on sight. Lovely lady in dining area very helpful and kept it very clean.

This place just got worse the more you looked. Open the door to the apartment the floors are dirty, open the fridge and rotten fruit still in there. Go to watch tv, no channels available due to no signal. But that’s ok we will just go for a swim, until we find clumps of hair in the pool. Tried to discuss with reception and they were just plan rude, finally got someone to try and sort the tv but they just put it on auto tune and said this will work and walked away. Auto tune didn’t work so off to reception again and got told no other rooms available ( fair enough ) and they can’t get tv fixed over the weekend but said we could just get a voucher to stay at another time and would need to vacate immediately. I would never stay here again. So declined the voucher. Went back to room to discuss with partner and decided to call Wotif to see our options. who then spoke to reception about these issues and they were promised they would get someone in to fix tv the next day. So they wouldn’t refund. We decided to stay and see what happens. Got back to room the next day after exploring Brisbane to find nothing had been done about the hair or the tv. This place will lie not just directly to your face but to the booking agents as well. Do yourself a favor and never ever stay here.

Parking was good and convenient. Beds were comfortable. Nice outdoor section. Very noisy when the lights were put on in the bathroom like a plane was taking off.
