Cedarwood Lakeside Motel & Conference Venue

We loved our stay, we have a big family so 2 rooms were perfect, we have young children so they were able to bike, swim, play all with no worry of busy vehicles.

The place was just what we were after and we will absolutely stay again, for other Travellers, the grounds keeping was behind but it was not an issue for us and our family.

Location on lakefront is nice

Property needs gardening and mowing. Very untidy. Laundry was old, marked and unclean

The stay is comfortable,beds were comfortable but there was a massive burn mark on the cover which was annoying whenever I sat pr layed down I could feel it so we had to take it off the bed, the veiw was great and my kids loved the pool despite of the weather.

The receptionist at the time wasn't welcoming at all,also didn't mention there was no wifi in our room so that was a bit hard to navigate keeping kids occupied, I had to send my son to ask for a milk as there was none in the fridge. Also a bit messy in the front side rubbish and old discarded furniture was an eyesore for the amount of money we paid to stay there.

The location is superb. Nice spot by the beach.

The trout flies at night....horrible! You cant do nothing outside in dark as those trouts are in millions annoying you.

Space of room was good, and room was clean

The photos advertised do not reflect the current condition of this facility. The pool was dirty. The spa was cold and completely unusable, despite being advertised as an available facility. The grounds were poorly maintained, and the playground was in poor condition. We also requested a cot for our 2-year-old, which is offered as an option when booking. The cot provided did not include a mattress, and when this was raised, we were given a blanket to use instead. This is not appropriate or safe for a young child. Overall, the accommodation did not meet the standard or expectations set by the listing, and several advertised amenities were either unavailable or not maintained.

Pitty about all the trout flies buzzing around which made it impossible to be outside during the evening. But that’s nature for you!

Beds were comfortable and linen clean

Not as viewed in advertisement photos Property - poorly maintained , playground equipment not safe for kids, hot pool was dirty and water cold, grounds needed mowing and tidying, big rubbish bin overflowing at front of site, old furniture left next to bin, trout flies are horrendous (don’t open windows or doors at night, or leave your car open). Unit - no jug in unit and not replaced when requested; port-a-cot was broken so unable to use and smelly; old plaster, chips were hidden by couch (obviously furniture not moved when cleaning done); had to boil water in a pot and discovered two of the four elements weren’t working on the stove; wall light shade missing and lights not working; remote in Chinese and Netflix app was almost impossible to navigate Staff - rude and abrupt, dismissive. Office was still locked at 9.30am during opening hours, no sign of staff.
